I am very grateful for your videos ☺. I run a small business, and I have a lot of products in your boxes because I often have a large amount of leftover cardboard. Your tutorials are easy to follow, not complicated, but the results are very effective. I would be grateful to know if you are planning to create a tutorial for a pencil holder or other collage student accessories in the future.
Thank you for your kind comment! Glad you like them) The pencil holder/pen stand is on my list of creations. You can find a couple of pen case designs in my videos that can be matched to your interest:)
Your tutorials and your objects are out of the ordinary. You are an artist. I wish to see you do shelves, with the measurements and explanations . I love the cardboard look. And the way you hide the corrugated is charming. Not easy, though. It takes practice. How did you come up with the idea to hide it like that? Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your kind comment:) One day, I was working with a cartonnage technique, trying to make the corners as smooth as possible without exposing the edges of the thick paper. At the same time, I wanted to explore upcycling, so I chose cardboard as my material, thinking it would be accessible to everyone. Soon, I discovered that cardboard has a unique inner structure. By leaving one side of the liner intact, I was able to create clean corners while also enhancing durability. Since then, I have been exploring the potential of cardboard crafts, aiming to create something that blends the qualities of woodwork and paper craft. I'm also working to change the perception of corrugated cardboard from a cheap material to one that people can appreciate for its value and versatility:)
this is stunning ! I'm totally in awe of the degree of precision ! Gonna binge watch all your vids until I find one which fits my 100% beginner level. Anyhow, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge !
Thank you for your kind comment:) I recommend you to watch "How to work with corrugated cardboard" Vol.1, 2, 3 to review the fundamental technique and understanding. Then it may be good to start with "Basic clean tray" or something simpler. Let me know how it works for you:)
Mais um trabalho maravilhoso! Parabéns. Tenho usado sua técnica para organizar minhas coisas e estou muito satisfeito. Obrigado por compartilhar seu conhecimento.
Just the lid is perfect to have next to the door, to throw in your keys or sunglasses as you get home, or on the bedside table. Maybe adding washi tape in the same colour palette as the room, either as trim or in the base, or twine and it'll look great.
Indeed! Basic techniques are quite simple as "half-cut", "peeling", and "Creasing" then you can decide the dimensions with the thickness of the cardboard materials. Please check "how to work with corrugated cardboard" series when you have a chance:)
Thank you:) The hard cardboard will help to make it precisely than the soft one. I upcycled a TV box for this project and it was quite a good quality cardboard.

Muito feliz por vc ter respondido minha pergunta! Achei seu trabalho lindo assim com o criador do ARTZY. Lamento não ter mais vídeo desse canal. Confesso está muito contente por ter encontrado outro artista tão maravilhoso quanto! Vou me inscrever no seu canal. Sucesso!
I realized that you are folding some tabs in the edges in order to glue them... is it better than gluing them without the tab at the edges?.. Greetings!!
=I glue surface poor hold =] glue surface good hold Tabs equals more surface area to give a much better lasting and secure hold when glued together. Hope that helps.
Thanks for mentioning it! I thought it was too much information in such a small details so I silently showed it. Yes, I tested making tabs on the other side of the part which I usually don't, and it gives a good hold at the corner after all. It requires a little extra material and work but if you see it good, I recommend to do so.
Thanks for follow-up on this topic:) It's a new attempt to make tabs on both side of the parts to make corner more durable as well as beautiful. It's a little tweak but turned out well.
@@itoshigestudio hahaahhahah it seems like you didn't want to tell what improvements you have done 🤣🤣 Anyways, it was a good one, i like it!... And i thought its a good way to make sure it glues well because the tab is part of the wall and also it increments the gluing area. Maybe if the tab can reach a bit of the other side it can be more sticky and also bring a good adhesion, just saying...
I think your projects are really clever and fun, but I am not sure why you call this'upcycling'. Upcycling is the reuse of trash or otherwise useless materials to make something useful. You are using virgin corrugated board, which comes from virgin brownstock. Using virgin materials should not be marketed as 'upcycling', however novel the use.
Thank you for your comment! To be honest, that wording always confuses me, so your input helps clarify my understanding. In my case, as I use cardboard as material, I understood the term "recycle" to refer to processes like dissolving cardboard in water and remaking it into paper, while "upcycling" is used when repurposing the material in its original form. Let me also mention that I'm using a discarded TV box for this project (which is why there are partial prints on it). I often think about how easy it would be to buy brand new cardboard (virgin material as you said?) to create my work, but I try to stick to the idea of using recycled(upcycled?) materials like the TV box.
@@itoshigestudioI as a spanish natuve speaker also never knew about those concepts but recycling wich we understand it like "re-using" things that are going to be thrown to the garbage, so instead of doing that you can give those things a new oportunity of being useful. I don't know what is the real word of "upcycling" in spanish so I can't give my opinion or my POV about it. Btw, excelent video.
This is quite upcycling by its very definition! A very creative way to reuse waste material :) Also, very much likely not the case of virgin cardboard if this is discarded TV box. Virgin cardboard is quite rare to find these days in general use since most packaging is already over 3rd recycle due to sustainability efforts & cardboard shortage.
