Useless to play this ship when no one dares to push, the amount of times I have committed to a push, and then haver everyone run away - you don't run away in the Kurfurst - once you commit, you're in it to win it... - so if you see a Kurfurst starting to charge, support it.
Montana has no purpose any more. It's AA is no longer a redeeming factor because the Kurfurst's is comparable, while the Montana's citadels are protected by paper, because reasons.
Well they have a point, its Anti Aircraft is good, but lets be honest, the Montana has the best AA Rating, especially after adding modifications and captain skills, it goes over 100! The Großer Kürfürst has amazing Secondaries so just forget the AA (unless you really hate planes) and just get the most OP secondaries build in the game. (Lets be honest, us BB Drivers hate pesky DD's.)
But that works with every faction. USN,IJN,Kriegsmarine and so on. I really like german ships but i don't go around bragging or throw trash on other countries' ships. I really hate those who say ''Yamato best ship lel noob'' or ''Iowa'' or '' Bismarck''.

WeGee has publicly stated that they'll never have another ship with guns bigger than 457.6mm (the threshold for overmatching 32mm of armour). Musashi is the only exception they've allowed since she was Yamato's sister, and did you see how badly she got gimped out just to shoehorn her in at tier IX? If H44 was in the game, those guns would probably overmatch a handful of ships' *main belt* armour, not just the bow.
Not only was it never build like that, it was never designed like that. In reality it would have got 480mm guns. But wargaming's policy is : no guns bigger than Yamatos. Triple barrelled turrets is something I won't forgive wargaming. German warships were all about fire rate with dual barrelled turrets. Also, the AA is worse than the Tier 9 AA. WHY? >.>
Also in project one of the variants of Yamato have 3x2 510mm guns, but aslo heaviest superyamato project (A150+ family) have 4x3 510mm guns!!! But aslo only project or just concept ;)

The Germans for some reason believed triple gun turrets decreased accuracy when fired together, so other than the smaller 283mm used on Deutschland-class & Scharnhorst, no capital ships ever built or designed carried triple gun turrets. The Kurfurst is probably drawn off the H42 design (the Friedrich is a H39-41 depending on 406mm or 420mm). It would have carried 2x4 480mm guns (19in).
The tier 9 is the hybrid of H39 and H41. T10 is H42. Just look at that size please... Gun calibre looks ridicolously low. Wrong guns. This ship would never have been build like that. There is no way around that fact.
i just want to say this, i played up against this ship... It was a nightmare, however I lived for about 45 seconds in its presence, before all four main turrets took me back to port :(
When I first looked at her before she became playable, the area where the airplane catapult is installed seemed strange. I really hope I don't have to worry about a Grosser Kurfürst on my 1st battle as Des Moines. But If I have to, I'll keep my distance a throw shells into enemy decks.
The fantasy name is really ill-chosen from Wargaming. While there was a BB with that name in WW1 it sounds straight ridiculous to german ears and if this ship would have been build, it would *never ever* have gotten this name. It's as likely as to have named a soviet ship after a czar. More realistic would have been "Hindenburg", "Friedrich der Große", "Barbarossa", "Großdeutschland", "Götz von Berlichingen", "Ulrich von Hutten".
NO! No german ship in WW2 would've ever be named "Großdeutschland" because Hitler feared that this ship could be sunk...and that would be veeery negative for press etc...

And while a legit veto there's a difference between the fear that an outdated Heavy Cruiser could be sunk and a modern, huge battleship representing germany's pride.

The one in sources are probably the first design of blueprints for the 2x4. The Germans must've thought about it, so they probably drew a turret Blueprint with 3x4 420mm guns.
AA modifications? Yeah, maybe if you fixed carrier gameplay (exp/credits) and there were carrier captains showing up more often, it could be a viable option. I'll just stick to my secondaries.

General_Dave_1 The issue is, that the H Class battleships were meant to have high-caliber guns, encased in dual turrets. That's why a lot of people complain about what WG did to the Kurfürst.
PhantomXT also the triple turret design for the GO was supposedly designed for the Russians. The Germans didn't like triple turrets for their large caliber guns since it would negate a large percentage of their firepower if knocked out. Yes I understand that there are limitations, yes I know that something with such a large caliber would make it unbalanced, yes I understand all of that. But think, If the Germans Really Wanted to make the H-44 Class have Triple Guns, it would not be a Bad Idea, I mean picture this, (its alternate history) the British Have just Unvealed their Lion class Battleship and the Americans are sending a Montana over to fight the Kriegsmarine, what you want is Fast Firing and Hard hitting guns that can fight off and kill these two Super ships, so why not just make it have triple turrets, if you had double turrets you would be outgunned even if you gun is big, also the Reload speed would take at least 2 Mins, so that is out of the question, and Im glad that Wargaming used Triple guns cause I thought that it would be outgunned and helpless in the situation. Also, they Have a Tier IX, the Friederick Der Große, if you hate the Großer Kurfürst, then just play the Tier IX, it wont change anything, you'll just have less guns, even if they are the same size as the tier X. And Less Health, Secondaries, Blah Blah Blah you get it?
@general_dave_1 thanks for pointing out your opinion and nothing else. Lets get to the facts, shall we? German BB building indeed experimented with triple gun turrets and they did not like them because of several reasons. First there is, as stated above, the possibiliy to loose 25-33% of your firepower when one of those turrets gets blown away. Secondy, they are heavy as hell (and this is really important!). Just check out the old german Battlecruiser designs of WW 1, especially the Derfflinger-Class, whic is like a grandfather to the bismarck... and it worked like hell. More armor and speed for compensation of fewer guns (not worse guns!) and you have a ship which is alot more versatile and good in several situations. One important thing most people forget is, its not about the pure firepower of those ships (or lets call it the broadside weight, as they did back in the 1800s) anymore in WW2, its also about being able to fit into alot of roles. Double barrel guns are alot more fitting for the GK (H41)... dont tell me about triples... just rework the reload and accuracy and they will feel like triples.
L3gi I will correct you on one thing the GK is assumed to be an H40B design with those triple turrets designed for the Russians. The H41 is actually the FDG with the 17 inch guns and the H39 is the FDG with the 16 inch guns
Also, Wargaming, Lets think about the British Tier X Battleship/Battlecruiser. HMS Incomparable, seems like it would be perfect, Weak Armour, Fast Speed, and the Largest guns (even though it only has 3 Turrets and 2 guns each.) Why cant the British Tier X be a big scary 20inch Gun Sniper/Class Cannon. It would basically be the FV215B (183) but on the High Sea's!
General_Dave_1 They're likely to place the Vanguard or the Lion at Tier X, they don't want to bring in a battleship with bigger guns than the Yamato's.
PhantomXT, yeah, that may be true, but lets be honest those two ships, would better off being tier IX, cause 15inch guns on the Vanguard... forget it! It just cant be that. They could use the N3 Class Battleship St.Patrick (Planned Battleship with 18 inch guns in triple turrets)
What design did you guys use for this ship? It doesn't look like any H-class and those are the only german battleship concepts that I know of. If you can tell me please do. It has been bugging me for months now.
Real blueprint of H-39 and H-41 class battleships were totally different from the ship shown in the video. In another game "Battle of warships" you can see the actual 3d model of the H-41. In the premium version of "Atlantic fleet" two H-39 named Hutten and Belrichigen was added. H-39 and H-41 looks like a huge Bismarck with stronger armaments and better protection systems.

The one built in 1913 was called SMS Großer Kurfürst. This design that you see in this video is an H Class Super Battleship design called Kriegmarine (KMS) Großer Kurfürst

I don't know... I digged the Plan-Z, I digged almost everything there is to know about the H-class battleships, but in every situation they were supposed to mount dual turrets...

The video brags about the 10km secondary range...but had previously recommended you take AA upgrades which would mean you can't get the secondaries to that range lol.

Next to that: H-42 and H-43 had 48cm guns planned (18,9 inch) and were supossoded to be 330 Mters long (305 Meters for H-42 and 330 Meters on H-43), H-44 had 50.8 cm guns planned (20 inch) and should have been 345 Meters long. And the biggest concept the H-45 had 80cm guns planned (31.5 inch). It was supposed to be 606 Meters long. Yamato was ''just'' 270 Meters long

1/3 of the video is correct, 1/3 is wrong, and 1/3 is just telling half-truth or straighly missing out important points. For example the armor. The Armor is actaully the weakest of tier 10, but she has a pretty tough citadel due to turtleback armor, a well protected bow (which basically only useful in close combat with a yamato) and a big HP pool.

yea i am... was a cv player. i remember the last game. 4 kills and 160k damage. 40 shot down. 1400 xp and -5k credits. wow.

But think, If the Germans Really Wanted to make the H-44 Class have Triple Guns, it would not be a Bad Idea, I mean picture this, (its alternate history) the British Have just Unvealed their Lion class Battleship and the Americans are sending a Montana over to fight the Kriegsmarine, what you want is Fast Firing and Hard hitting guns that can fight off and kill these two Super ships, so why not just make it have triple turrets, if you had double turrets you would be outgunned even if you gun is big, also the Reload speed would take at least 2 Mins, so that is out of the question, and Im glad that Wargaming used Triple guns cause I thought that it would be outgunned and helpless in the situation.
Also, they Have a Tier IX, the Friederick Der Große, if you hate the Großer Kurfürst, then just play the Tier IX, it wont change anything, you'll just have less guns, even if they are the same size as the tier X. And Less Health, Secondaries, Blah Blah Blah you get it?

Lets get to the facts, shall we?
German BB building indeed experimented with triple gun turrets and they did not like them because of several reasons. First there is, as stated above, the possibiliy to loose 25-33% of your firepower when one of those turrets gets blown away. Secondy, they are heavy as hell (and this is really important!). Just check out the old german Battlecruiser designs of WW 1, especially the Derfflinger-Class, whic is like a grandfather to the bismarck... and it worked like hell. More armor and speed for compensation of fewer guns (not worse guns!) and you have a ship which is alot more versatile and good in several situations.
One important thing most people forget is, its not about the pure firepower of those ships (or lets call it the broadside weight, as they did back in the 1800s) anymore in WW2, its also about being able to fit into alot of roles.
Double barrel guns are alot more fitting for the GK (H41)...
dont tell me about triples... just rework the reload and accuracy and they will feel like triples.
L3gi I will correct you on one thing the GK is assumed to be an H40B design with those triple turrets designed for the Russians. The H41 is actually the FDG with the 17 inch guns and the H39 is the FDG with the 16 inch guns

Also, Wargaming, Lets think about the British Tier X Battleship/Battlecruiser.
HMS Incomparable, seems like it would be perfect, Weak Armour, Fast Speed, and the Largest guns (even though it only has 3 Turrets and 2 guns each.) Why cant the British Tier X be a big scary 20inch Gun Sniper/Class Cannon. It would basically be the FV215B (183) but on the High Sea's!

PhantomXT, yeah, that may be true, but lets be honest those two ships, would better off being tier IX, cause 15inch guns on the Vanguard... forget it! It just cant be that. They could use the N3 Class Battleship St.Patrick (Planned Battleship with 18 inch guns in triple turrets)
Vanguard's guns were no better than the Warspite's, and Lion is more like Tier 9 material.

Real blueprint of H-39 and H-41 class battleships were totally different from the ship shown in the video. In another game "Battle of warships" you can see the actual 3d model of the H-41.
In the premium version of "Atlantic fleet" two H-39 named Hutten and Belrichigen was added. H-39 and H-41 looks like a huge Bismarck with stronger armaments and better protection systems.

The one built in 1913 was called SMS Großer Kurfürst. This design that you see in this video is an H Class Super Battleship design called Kriegmarine (KMS) Großer Kurfürst

The Großer Kurfürst that was built, was a König Class Battleship. The Großer Kurfürst in the game is an H-41 class. They were never built.

@Goose Actually even the H-39 (FdG) was longer than Yamato and she is the smallest of the H-Family. Next to that: H-42 and H-43 had 48cm guns planned (18,9 inch) and were supossoded to be 330 Mters long (305 Meters for H-42 and 330 Meters on H-43), H-44 had 50.8 cm guns planned (20 inch) and should have been 345 Meters long. And the biggest concept the H-45 had 80cm guns planned (31.5 inch). It was supposed to be 606 Meters long. Yamato was ''just'' 270 Meters long

"aa guns mod 2 and 3" uh wargaming you should know that when you play a German BB you ALWAYS go with a secondary build.
1/3 of the video is correct, 1/3 is wrong, and 1/3 is just telling half-truth or straighly missing out important points. For example the armor. The Armor is actaully the weakest of tier 10, but she has a pretty tough citadel due to turtleback armor, a well protected bow (which basically only useful in close combat with a yamato) and a big HP pool.
FdG and Pommern have strong armor tho. I mean HE bombs can't pen their deck.
