- Brian Justin Crum, the current Gabe/Henry standby in "Next to Normal" on Broadway, gives a heartfelt rendition of "Quiet," from Jonathan Reid Gealt's forthcoming musical, "Forward." The concert took place at Joe's Pub on June 23, 2010 to benefit Broadway Impact.
You're both right. He starts in the key of C and at the end of the bridge jumps to the key of D. ;-)
with that voice, can i be the man you want for the rest of your life?
this is the best version of this song i have heard! so much power behind the text and so much control of his voice... awesome!
Yes, Brian You are Loved. You are a good singer...
Moving, very moving. Thank you for sharing.
Love this
Anyone here in 2020?! 🙋♀️
Me
such a talent. so much respect for Brian.
Breathtaking. Extreme talent!
Wow! That was amazing and his cheeky laugh at the end sealed the deal! Best version yet
Love this version soooo much. It's so warm and moving.
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL
I love this.
this is RREEEAALLY good!!!! probably the best guy version on youtube!!
Fantastic voice.
Awesome!!! I wish I could sing like that.
Awesome!!! I wish I could sing like that. Best male version of this song in my opinion.
you are brilliantly beautiful. Thank you for the journey
@NiallOHalloran This is a song written by Jonathan Reid Gealt. Personally, I love use music notes (dot) com. I'm sure you can purchase it on his website as well if music notes does not have his music.
I love his interpretation of this song. I really really do. But Tituss Burgess owns this song Emotionally and effortlessly and is by far the best when it comes to this song.
13.000 views? Everybody must see this video!! Not just 13.000 people. EVERYBODY!! This is part of your education!
Oh. My. God.
Titus Burgess version lowered a key or two.
amazing voice
@Koashine100 haha yes i have! and he is amazing too! I really don't think i can compare them with each other, because Brian does things that Tituss doesn't do, and vice-verca, but they are both extremely talented and represent this song extremely well, as does Natatlie...lol =)
I want the key!
I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but isn't C Major, into A Major, and jump into D major at the bridge? +jrgealt ?
@jrgealt (I haven't figured out how to tag people on here, yet.. haha)
its in C Major :)
Boy, realize who you replied to and sit down. Jamie makes kick ass music.
does anyone know what key this is in or where i can find the sheet music, this song is... beyond words!
Well he sings it in that original key so easily. Most people don't have crazy black mix voices like Tituss ;)
Anyone know where I can find a karaoke version in this key or a higher key for tenors?! Pls help!
Actually... it's in D...
@PARAWHORExHERE C Major, I think.
Uhhh No. It's C Major :)
how bout we settle the key argument, there are key changes in the song, you're all pretty
I love Brian so much. He really needs his big break.
I believe he's getting it now?
His high note is very cold.
Whats the perfect balance
between yelling too much
or not yelling enough
so that people dont walk over you
is it a crime to just want to be nice
to avoid confrontation
and show everyone a little respect
Time after time
I find that Im struggling
to tell you whats burning inside
a glimmer of hope
that youll finally see
yet I remain quiet
Look at my face
dont you dare turn away
cause Im losing my patience
show me now youre the man
that i want to be with
for the rest of my life
I have so much love to give you
Just open up your eyes and youll see
Time after time
I find that Im struggling
to tell you whats burning inside
a glimmer of hope
that youll finally see
yet I remain quiet
I cant remain quiet anymore
No i was not built
to idly stand here
letting you make my decisions
based upon your point of view
you never allowed me my own freedom
well hear me now
Show me now youre the man that I want to be with
for the rest of my life
I have so much love to give you
just open up your eyes and youll see
time after time
I find that im struggling to tell you
whats burning inside
a glimmer of hope
that youll finally see
still I remain
yes i
i
cant remain quiet
quiet
I find this version cold.
