Got mine in the post yesterday Wore them for the first time today Will need a few more walks to fully break them in but they feel “bulletproof” on my feet Can’t wait to test them in bad conditions/wet/boggy As others have said You get what you pay for These boots are an investment that should last many many years if looked after properly Looking forward to my adventures in these boots Bought mine on the strength of this video Thank you 👍🏻
i just ordered the shorter books from farley's. i'm in the states and have never heard of this brand before, great looking boots. that you for making a video of these.
Loved your review on the boot. I've just purchased a pair from William Powell at Banbury. After returning a pair from last weekend which were feeling slightly tight on my right foot. They were the harkila pro hunter ridge. But i had this doubt the tightness in the right boot wouldn't give. So after trying a few different pairs, and a little extra cost. I decided on the meindl dovre. And like you said they feel a real nice fit on your foot. Only want them for dog walking over the fields. But i hate getting wet feet. At 56 these are by far the most expensive boot ive purchased. 300 pounds not the end of the world. But if comfortable and keep my feet dry will be worth every penny.
I've had a pair of Meindl walking boots for what must be 20 years now and they are still going strong. Definitely worth the money as you say. 👍 Isn't it time we had a state of your current rifle collection only it must have been a while now since your last one. Just a by the way, I bought a Donny FL Yokozuna at the show and love the quick release and modular design (and nicely made) and it's pretty quiet but not quite as quiet as the Twink C I bought after watching your video on it a few years ago. 😊👍
Twink c is the best moddy ive owned . Im currently mulling over a few rifles before i take the plunge ,looking at the FX DBS walnut version or the RAW 1000 compact but not sure yet as their both not out yet
@@fieldsportcymru4636 At the show I liked the look of the new Krait Lite but his stock was stuck the other side of the Channel during the show. He did have one in .22 but I wanted a .177. I know they had a few problems with their own regs but now they have gone with Huma I think I'll try one.
@fieldsportcymru4636 Yes that Raw 1000 compact looks pretty well accurate but I don't like where the safety is positioned right in front of the trigger, I just would never buy a rifle with that safety positioning. Having a bit of a health and safety training background, if there is a possibility of something to go wrong, no matter how improbable, it will happen at some time. With gloves on in the winter, I would say it's inevitable. Just my thoughts. Be nice to see how much it will be as well, so far from what I have seen is they are very very expensive.
@garyshilton9502 Their very well padded and immensely comfortable with little or no wearing in period I would say if you have very wide feet they may feel a bit tight at first until worn in
Meindl boots are really good boots unless you have a wide foot, because they are made on a narrowish more average last. If you have a wide or a foot that is a bit awkward in any way I would look up a shop called WHALLEY WARM AND DRY in Cumbria, they are brilliant. By the way, any chance of a update or longer term review on your Anchutz 9015.177? If you still have it.
Hi I have just come across your channel I have been given a Webley MK3 under lever air rifle would you know where I could download a manual so I can strip it down and restore it any help would be really appreciated as it will be my first renovation such as taking the back sight apart. Would you know what year it is made the serial number on the under lever and stock are the same it is 28824 thank you very much for your time all the best. Carl

How do you find them comfort wise on your Achilles heels as I have problems with a lot of boots pressing on my Achilles and it gets painful over time

I use the Harkila boots off John Norris of Penrith, reduced from three hundred odd quid to £169. Bargain and really good boot
Harkila make great boots i like the ratchet cable ones .
