My wife and I took the late night bus No. 55 the other week, from Oxford Street to Walthamstow Central - a ride of about 80 minutes. It took in the locations of where we married in Hackney, of our first flat together, and many other happy memories. Sometimes a bus ride can be bliss, if you're in the right frame of mind.
London is such a diverse City,that it has many moods and the lovely sunrises and sunsets,ads so much to it's beauty. Turner would have liked this lovely trip. Thanks Wanderizm.🇬🇧🙂
How much does a typical ride like this cost? And I assume since it's public transport, you sit where you want? How lucky you get to get the prime spot up top and in front! Cheers from Washington DC.

Yes exactly - even though there was a big overlap between the 13 and 82 the real 13 will always be that route - going down regent street and Oxford street
Good evening friend. How are you? I wanted to ask about the school children I see getting on the bus. Do they pay a fare? As I was watching I'm remembering taking the city bus from school. The buses would be outside after school and we'd board. They only stopped if we requested and they did not allow the rest of the public to board. We did not pay a fare either.

I will bring back the real 13 from Aldwych to Golders Green. I will renumber this route to 82.
