- Here we have a CBBC recording from a fond part of my life; some time in 1994. I was 3 or 4 years old.
We have a CBBC Episode presented by Zoe Ball with a Birthdays segment; a Playdays Episode at The Why Bird Stop (Spring Cleaning) and then the another Birthdays segment. Sadly this is all we have!

I used to and still love Playdays it is one of my favourite pre-school shows
CBBC was such a protective factor in my life, I lived through the catholic school UK physical and sexual abuse scandal and I was in year 7 at the time of this. Everyday I would come home glad to have survived another day; my parents had been abused too so it was no good asking them for help - it was all normal. I am 40 and still have the playbus as a safety tune on my phone

This was shown on the exact same date when Tots TV Phone Diner and Rainbow The Animals Went in Two by Two was originally shown on CITV
1994?
According to my research this was taped on Monday 7th March 1994 and to make sure it was that date I looked at The Home Truths promo and it said that Tony Slattery was one of the guests on that programme on Friday 11th March 1994 so this recording was taped on Monday 7th March 1994 and it can only have been that date.
Brilliant. Thank you so much. I do look, I’m not lazy about it. But often I do these uploads between working shifts, classic car restoration, photography and seeing my partner, so I’m often rushed. Not to mention not always having info to go on ☺️. But these comments all help the cause. Thank you.

@@mrhammadmossop1988ul-haq it’s a nice feeling to strike Gold, only for it to be snatched away when something less interesting has been taped over half of it.
Thanks do you recall having any CITV recordings please with the pre-school shows?
Possibly yea. I’ve got a few Tots TVs but I think the previous owner of these tapes was quite good with his trigger finger (quite annoying when you’re trying to capture TV gold 30 years later. I’ve probably got 100 tapes to go, and there’s a lot of CITV. Fingers crossed.
