When I was young, I wasn't able to beat it because I didn't know what to do at the boss fight. I never thought you were suppose to punch the beam towards Dr. Mercer.

I never actually beat this game as a kid. I could get to the final room no problem, but it never would've occurred to me that you need to punch the beam back at him. I thought you had to save all of your screen nukes until the end
