Jesper Kyd has the soundtracks for many games under his belt, but this one. This one is the best. This game from almost 20 years ago has the most immersive and atmospheric soundtrack ever. Call me crazy but I can hear bits of influence from this OST in his newer work for Vermintide and Darktide!
Funny that Kyd would go on to do work for the Borderlands franchise, which is a game series that makes you wonder what Robotech: Invasion could have been if it had been developed on a next gen console.
No, that would be the original show. Technically, the source material is an American adaptation of a Japanese anime, and even though it was marketed to kids, it’s still a war story, which is inevitably going to be dark and deal with heavy subject matter, so it’s not “hard to believe.”
This is the kind of game that would do good with a remake. Fix up the overworld, polish the combat, remake the music, and possibly lengthen the story a bit. I could see it doing well
I can agree a remaster of this game would be absolutely amazing on modern consoles seeing how the standard now is Battlefield 2042 and Fallout 76 I think if they just released a remastered version of this game it would do pretty good
I don't feel like touching music because it was made by Jasper kid is the same guy that did the soundtrack for borderlands and all that sorry if I gave you this information again that's something you probably already knew but I will say I have ideas for a remake but obviously I wouldn't be able to touch it because of copyright reasons I have no idea who owns this stuff anymore just because of the whole debacle with all of the robotech stuff in the original animes
My ideas include more than just polishing and polishing the combat as well I would like to have full modern controls with fluid control movement and having a million different options such as being able to choose where you want your view model positioning of the gun having being able to drive through those tunnels at the beginning of the game would be nice I hate how you can't drive thru thoes
@@xunk16 yes but the site I used to grab emulated games way back when was taken down for legal reasons. A shame, but I dont feel like getting any viruses lol
DIdn't expect that ending to Luck shame.this track when you're fighting with the gang in the battlefield at the start mad hyped vibes and then got so sad when they died
Unfortunately obscure stuff like this and hidden gems such as armored core are only just now beginning to be appreciated in large enough numbers like Ace combat and its community in order to be able to be a success in any kind of capacity and be pushed on modern platforms the Ace combat community had to fight blood tooth and nail to get as far as they have now I just don't think that we are strong enough United enough and or enough numbers to make enough difference to ever have a remake or a port perhaps Harmony gold might rub their fingers together and sell it as a port for modern consoles in the future to make more money but probably added absurd cost if that ever comes true but I don't see it ever happening as much as I want it to

Indeed! I would also recommend his pieces from MDK2 and Borderlands - the style is unmistakable.
Play this while playing Darktide. Don't ask why this fits, it just does.
It does, for sure. Prolly 'cause this is the same guy that worked on Darktide's music, as well as Borderland's.
@@OathofthePeachGarden It's just a good blend on instruments he uses that just aged well like fine wine.
@@devinlevan7031 It always thought it sounded like 'tribal robot' music. I can see how it fits with the very metallic Darktide.
I literally came back to this OST from Darktide OST. Jesper Kyd does such good work.

Its hard to believe the source material is like a kids show, this is the true way to experience robotech the new generation
Robotech o macross no creo que se para niños capas mas de 13 si eso decia el dvd pero despues el de los invid mas de los mismo en cuanto a la edad

I haven’t heard this since I was four years old, man this game was great!

Wonderful game, it would be very cool... to see it come out as a port for the modern consoles. and also a pc version of it.
