"So Im ah put it way down..Deep down in my soul..." That's some deep shit. Certified New Orleans classic to this day, by a group who get major respect in the city. Not to many can say that.
Thanks man I always reminisce on this old music. I don't do the new rap usually. Funny thing is I'm a 29yo white dude from Destrehan. I know all the lyrics.
Why does being a Republican mean anything, if you like the song, you like the song....we need to get out of all this division one love from a black man from Louisiana
@@kenmitchell3355 yeah i agree with you personally i feel what the Republicans say more than the Democrats on certain things....i for one think trump would be better now lol but i cant say that to my ppl so i understand your situation
Msscorpio Poison wasn’t the tape blue for PNC? I wanna say yea but it may have been Fila Phil that was blue. I used to steal my brothers to to borrow it and he get pissed lol mystikal was yellow tape I know for sure
This is how it was for me. Much of this may be irrelevant but I just copy and pasted this from an argument I had with another person. - White privilege is a myth in many cases; please read below. I can relate to being a minority BTW. I was raised in New Orleans East. I received over 3 dozen concussions throughout just middle school alone just for being white. I was 1 of 6 whites in my school. I was swung by my feet head first into trees, crowd surfed into the brick school buildIng, I was robbed often, we were lined up against a wall like cattle or prisoners in order to empty our pockets, the school didn’t have buses so we had to pay for public buses. Oh yeah our bus fair was stolen from us. So then we had to walk home which was always an adventure; being harassed, threatened or jumped by grown black men. One of my favorites was when my friend was getting beaten up cause he couldn’t escape. He yelled to me to keep running and get help which made sense cause I couldn’t help him. I went to a bar (closest public place) and asked for help and was laughed at then rudely told to leave! No one gave a fuck; so I know what it’s like to be a singled out minority. In school I was jumped on average 3-4 times a week and sucker punched a couple times a week. Sometimes I was beaten by 17 people at one time. Usually it was less than that but 17 is my record LOL. They would take my clothes after I changed for gym then throw them in the toilet. Then take turns pissing on them. My mom couldn’t pick me up B/C she had 2 jobs. My piece of shit dad was living somewhere else and drunk everyday. Looking back I can’t believe I made it through all that. I also know I’m lucky that they allowed me to live or at least I was strong enough to not to die. Head injuries are no joke. I had severe headaches due to the trauma for years. I even lost vision for a while in one eye from being snuck with a lock. I could write hundreds of pages about what I went through but I rather not. I have to say thank you to the one black friend that helped me (Leroy Thomas). Leroy showed me a few boxing techniques and would get in the way of attackers so I could get a head start. I know this is nothing in comparison of what other people have gone through but this wasn’t that long ago and it happened in OUR America. My favorite teacher MRS. Cooley gave a speech to my class. She stated “Ken can’t afford to live with the other white people so he is with us”. “Y’all have to learn to accept him”. As she said this another student got up and sucker punched me in the eye with a lock. I lost partial vision in that eye for a while. My life didn’t change until I joined the ARMY BTW. My mom was a single mom with 2 full time jobs when I was growing up. She was robbed a few times by black men and raped once. I still don’t judge a race by these actions. I judge each individual and I wish everyone else did the same. All I ask for is peace for us all. I’m tired of people blaming whites for everything and blaming blacks for everything else. I have never done wrong to a black person. Hell my first wife is black even though all that I’ve been through LMAO!
