We are on our 3rd and 4th Cairns. Only the 2nd didnt care much for the stripping method. However it is the best way to care for their coat. The 2 newest are both 10 months and manage it just fine. This video is clearly at an increased speed so dont read too much into it. She is doing a great job!
You are too rough with this small dog. Don't hold a dog by its tail, that is the spinal cord. Take a little more time and be gentle. The dog is obviously in discomfort. Yes, I groom dogs too and reading this correctly.
This is worst way of doing a clipping that I have seen poor dog I do my dog but never have her her on lead and just take time with her she love being done as there there is not hurting her it give my night Mears to watch you he try to bite you the pain he going through
I have almost the exact same dog, color and age. I pull on his hair and nothing comes out. So far, this is the most detailed video I've seen, but I'm still nowhere with understanding it.
@@mjremy2605 Yeah, that was a year ago. I said screw it. I must have asked a dozen different people my questions and never got an answer from anyone (no groomers locally who do this). So what I learned is it's not necessary.
Yes what tools? And I try to pull too and nothing. My beauty’s hair is getting long and I want to learn to trim myself. He’s a year old. Different texture on the end back than the front of his back…
I have a cairn terrier puppy the same age that is also brindle. They look so similar. I know it is unlikely, but I can't help buy wonder if their from the same breeder/litter.

Wow! You are so rough with the dogs. Why don’t you hold the skin more often?!
Can you post a link to the tools used?

Wait till the fur is ready to be stripped. Don't pull when it is not shedding.
