So long as promo cards are tradeable, none of this is an issue at all and I still dont understand why people are complaining. I've seen a lot of people saying "Why dont they just have trading rare cards locked behind a certain level to deter people smurfing?" Do you really think that people who are willing to spend a bunch of time and/or money to do something like that are going to be detered by having to level an account up? Because I dont.
exactly! the only two cards I actually wanted to trade for are promos I missed and normal mewtwo ex which I somehow haven't pulled yet!!! (I have 2 immersive and two crown mewtwo ex idk how I don't have the regular LOL)

People throwing a tantrum as usual because they can’t exploit the game via circumventing spending for high rarity cards. Every deck can be made with the trade system, they just want their decks to bling for free with smurf accounts or make cheap eBay purchases.
It’s not really a tantrum, people are voicing their opinion on the system since it’s a product they’re using and if they want change they need to let the company know (and before you even say it’s pointless DeNA has done this with Pokémon masters multiple times already). Take anyone who has like 5 of the same immersive card and wants to trade it for other ones they didn’t have. We can’t because DeNA dosent want them to be tradable. You mentioned people making alt accounts to cheat the system but they already solved the problem with making it the same rarity. The player can’t just give a random 1 diamond card for a grown rare they got on an alt, it’s fairly balanced without limiting what cards can be used. Plus people want to trade for RARE CARDS THEY DONT HAVE, why get rid of said rare cards and only have it be normal cards? Does it help complete sets sure, but that dosent change the fact that people want to trade for higher rarity cards they’re missing.
@@mophead3903 Who's gonna play the game when everyone completes their collection? It may suck that you cant trade you higher rarity cards but if they do that, they are going to earn less revenue. And from a developer standpoint, revenue is highly more important than player satisfaction.

For a long while I was pulling Mewtwo packs in the hopes of getting a Giovanni 2-star to trade with my best friend bc they want it but have crap luck in the game, and have only gotten 2-star cards they don't really want. I don't want to fill my collection with every 2-star card. I just want to have fun with my friend. So this news has really bummed out both of us.

What I think about the items being consume was like how we convert cards to flair. It will consume your copy of that card to be trade to gain the other card that will be traded to you. On-topic. Tbh trading can make anyone complete the base set. Game Freak was generous enough to give us 2 packs per day and that 1 star was a bonus already for trading.
I do actually agree about the trading not being too bad as it's capped at 1 star. But I think it depends on what the currency is we need to use. I was really hoping it would be star dust but doesn't look like it, guess we are going to get yet another currency to collect!
It doesn't make me want to drop the game because I was doing ok without it until now. It does, however, lower my expectations a bit. Also, if it was about money, why even have trading at all?
To allow people to complete their decks so battles are fair for everyone. Full art and other shiny cards are purely cosmetics and doesn't give you any advantage in battle.

I feel like there is room to tweak the trainers/items, but been doing well PVP this afternoon and today. Not sure if this deck has already been thrown out there but I haven't seen it. I call it Wigglykoff.
I play this but don't bother with gen apex weezing. Gives more stability and damage. I also dont use gio, second Sabrina, nor the second potion. Instead run a second jiggly, second xspeed and second wiggly ex
I spent money on the game- I own nearly every card in the game with the exception of Starmie and Wigglytuff EX. The limitations don’t affect me. I’m also for it- because it prevents people from creating dummy accounts and RNG rolling free god packs to trade to their main account.
It has nothing to do with that, and it's absurd that people are running with this. It's simpler than that. They still want an incentive to buy poke gold and whale on packs. The low rarity cards are low stakes. They don't care if we trade those, but they do want people to spend their money by making the higher rarity cards more or less locked behind a paywall.
Rare cards should stay rare. The fact that Pokemon Go just hands out loads shinies all the time and they're nothing special anymore is the main thing that drove me from the game. Everything I grinded for was worthless

promos arent tradeable. It says certain cards from genetic apex and mythic island will be tradable. Notice how it doesn't mention promo sets
