The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:17 NKJV*
In Hebrews 1:2-3, we learn that Jesus is the revelation of the father.
The Son reveals the Father and the Spirit reveals the Son.
Its the Spirit that makes our Christianity enjoyable. Without Him, there will be a deadness in your life.
But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.” John 15:26 NKJV
The Spirit of truth is given to us to testify of Jesus. That's His primary role. To reveal Jesus. Another word for testify is to prove, show or demonstrate. He is given to us make Jesus a reality in our lives.
See, many a people know Jesus as a theory. The Spirit of truth makes Jesus a reality. Most people are puffed up with head knowledge but it's not a reality.
Jesus isn't a discovery. He is a revelation. You know Him by divine revelation, not by head knowledge.
In Luke 24:1-25, two men are walking and talking with Jesus but didn't know that it's Him. It is until their eyes were opened that they knew Him.
Luke 24:25
You can minister, go for retreats, be in church, but never really know Jesus. Until your eyes are opened, you will never know Jesus. It's even possible to preach and never know Jesus. Until you know Jesus, you can't be transformed.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” II Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
A veil must be taken off for you to know Him. True transformation comes, from beholding Him. The more you Behold, the more you become like Him. When you Behold him, he satisfies you yet leaves you with a deep longing. Worship becomes enjoyable when Jesus becomes a reality.
