Thanks! I didn't know they had released a second update. This looks like they fixed some things and added more real functionality. I agree that this should have been their first introduction; the first one turned a lot of folks off. I still love UNO, though. Ha ha. Now that both my other radios gave up the ghost, I'm dependent on the SDR.

For decades I've been a tabletop receiver guy. I like my Icom 8600 which is basically a SDR in a tabletop box. But I'm using my SDR (RSPdx) more and more these days. The flexibility you have, all the options, and a very powerful receiver that you can keep in a drawer. The software is constantly being updated, new features added, makes it better all the time.
With a good PC, you can have a wide range receiver that out performs the most expensive table top like the Icom 9500 that sells for $13,500 US.
I've been seriously thinking about selling all my other receivers and just keeping my RSPdx, Icom 8600, my scanner, and just one portable.
The only thing I wish for is manufacturers of SDR receivers would make them with updatable firmware. The Airspy HF Discovery, and my Icom 8600 is the only 2 I know of that you can download new firmware when they release it.

@@SouthernIllinoisShortwave The only thing I am missing now is portability, since my laptop is somewhat heavy, but I am looking forward to the Chrome version as I have a little Chromebook that would be perfect for it.

Seems to be coming along now, with build release updates, glad to have em'. Working pretty well with the Mac M1 and an RSPdx. The interface seems to be going the right way with tight integration, instead of bits and pieces like a patchwork quilt... Since I am a rapidly aging boomer, I still think of knobs and switches, pretty straightforward. In the last 20 years or so, the UI with the hardware is what the programmer Think's it should be..."intuitive "in my humble opinion is something most of them need to study up on...🙂

    Food for thought.
I recently picked up a RS 918 off of EBay for about $350. I am blown away by its receive capability. I thought my SDR Play receiver was good and it is, but having both on the same antenna & listening to a weak station out of Europe the difference in the audio and receive was like reading under a 5 watt bulb compared to a 40 watt bulb. Sure it transmits and though I have a license I aquired that so I could experiment but I am primarily a shortwave listener & the RS 918 is better than any of the Kenwood or Icom rigs I had or used.

Can you sync the frequency to an external transceiver?

I don't think so yet. Not in this version anyway. I wish there was.
