    Nitecore have a useful little kit here with the 21700 i series battery, this is a custom cell which has both positive and negative connections on both ends. The cell can also be used in "normal" devices such as torches/flashlights.
    Using a magnetic connection you can attach items to it. The MPB21 Kit comes with the ML21 Light/lantern which has an output of 80 lumens, and the MPB21 is the power bank module, turning the battery into an ultra compact power bank.
    I look at this kit, show you how it works and what I think of it. There are some obvious advantages here (super compact size and you can simply get spare/replacement cells), it's small enough to carry with you anywhere or as an emergency power or light source. There are a few areas where I would make some adjustments, and I discuss this in the video.

    I like that you mentioned the short circuit protection, and showed it not sparking and shorting. I was interested in just that :D

    Clever product 🙂 I don't like the micro USB port though. It feels too outdated. I would probably buy this, but ONLY if they upgraded to USB-C.

      This is good, bar the few points I mentioned. It's one for the "post-apocalyptic" EDC bag. Or perhaps one to just keep around and use when required.
      I recommend watching the Last of Us to get into the vibe on that, it's quite good really.
      Maybe I should deep dive more into this type of product ;-D

      I've added that there are a few the UNI T is good, but you need a constant power source otherwise it will reset (ie a powered USB port not power bank)
      The other ones are various USB ones. amzn.to/3rCNL2P

    Want to know the temperature when you using it as a light and power bank. Also, it do not have any protect shell does anyone willing to risk if the battery exploding?

      It's barely gets warm the temperature is no concern. These cells are in stainless steel cases, they are not easy to damage

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  Місяць тому

      Battery nominal voltage 3.7V, output 5V so the voltage boosted means you lose capacity. EVERY power bank works this way, You NEVER get the rated output ever. Typically 60-65% on the best ones. Factor in efficiency loss with cable too.

    the thrunite ts2 blows this out the water while being cheaper . go for the olight if anyone is considering this nitecore because of the micro usb , if people stop buying the old micro usb devices eventually companies might get the message , but even the micro usb aside the thrunite is way better than this
