It was an enjoyable seven-day trip , rediscovering the Northern Philppines traversing the loop from Manila-Nueva Vizcaya-Isabela-Cagayan Valley-Ilocos Norte-Ilocos Sur-La Union and back to Manila. The highways were so good and that traveling and driving was even more fun.
The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption is the parish church of Santa Maria in Ilocos Sur province, Philippines. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on December 11, 1993 as part of the Baroque Churches of the Philippines, a collection of four Baroque Spanish-era churches.

It's maybe about time for a revisit and see how Ilocos has evolved through the years... Nice roads nice other infras and if houses are the basis of a progressive place, then Ilocos is truly progressive one.

the other side is the altar. but there are gates too at the side but are closed during off-mass days.
