I went to school with Kevin and Ali. I am so happy that Kevin found something that makes them look stunning. This was also my favorite show growing up, and it's wonderful to see people that I used to know on the show! Kevin, you are still a beautiful soul and you look so gorgeous in that dress.
Randy doesn't realize what an icon he is to so many people for a multitude of reasons. I love how he always introduces himself like we don't already know who he is. He's such a sweet person.
I do like how Randy made sure to use the chosen pronoun when talking about Kevin to the camera.

Growing up watching this show yes I knew Randy wasn’t straight but I never thought I would see someone that is not a traditional born female on tv trying on wedding dresses let alone this show. I am just so happy to see this and to see them so happy and feeling beautiful. Also everyone was so careful and respectful when referring to Kevin and their chosen pronouns. I’m just so happy how un toxic this episode was.

Saying personal gratification and happiness comes above God is the opposite of what the Bible teaches. I’d argue anyone who doesn’t follow the Bible, isn’t actually a Christian. You can certainly love people you disagree with, but lying to them to make them feel good about that which the Bible condemns isn’t loving, it’s actually cruel. To love one is to care more about the salvation of their soul than gaining their acceptance through your acceptance. We are called as followers of Christ to speak the truth out of an abundance of love. Jesus loves you so very much, praying for you.

I did my own version of "The Dip" once. I was going downstairs and slip and landed in that exact position. Tore a ligament in my knee. Which goes to show that a 60 year old woman has no business doing "The Dip". Lol

I've loved Randy from the first time i saw him. You could tell his highest priority in making a sale, was sincerly making sure the bride would feel, not just beautiful, but like the most gorgeous bride in the world. In this case, he dedicatedly applied his design skills to come up with the most satisfying solution, which made me love him even more. I only wish we had been able to see the final result. I'm sure Kevin was stunning.
When Randy said 'where do we go from here cause we tried everything' I just screamed where's Nina cause she's always hiding somewhere with pencil and a notepad, ready to whisk something up lol 😂

Exactly!! That's why when I saw them in the dress, I teared up a little; because it's so beautiful when someone can feel like they don't need to hide who they really are, in a world that sometimes discourages them.

I love that outfit and hope they ended up making it bell bottoms because it’s kind of walking the line between Art Deco and Disco.
The first (strapless) dress just looked awful in the top and shoulders, and I thought they would never find anything that looked good. But I was surprised when the wide straps and v-neck of the chosen dress really looked feminine and flattering. And making pants out of the excess fabric in the skirt was ingenious.
Making pants out excess fabric is nothing new. Did that 28 yrs ago. Me. And I am not a designer.

I have to say, I have watched a ton of these videos and very few made me tear up, but this one got to me. The look on Kevin's face and the moment when they said they felt complete, that was it. Kevin, you looked amazing in that dress, and you are going to be a beautiful bride.

omg, i love everything about this segment except that sweet kevin had to alter the base dress because kleinfeld's didn't already have it in a jumpsuit--i wish they could have just ordered everything they wanted in their size without needing so much customized. i wish they didn't have to go through that much time and expense. that said, as someone who has to have everything customized or custom made, i can sat that at least they'll get *exactly* what they want at the end of the day. they are truly beautiful--they are a beautiful bride, and i love their entourage and randy and peter for keeping the limelight on kevin and doing everything to confirm just how beautiful they are.
i would've thought they would have something customized from the jump, considering not only their unique style but also the extenuating circumstances of their shape. they just don't design sample gowns for a frame that has developed through decades of testosterone. and a lot of times having something made from scratch can actually end up cheaper than ordering it from a high-profile couture boutique.
Just an observation since I’m not well versed in the they them protocol, but I noticed Kevin was saying “I” a lot, and the girls said “you”, Randy said “you’re” there were other instances where the non-binary flew out the window. So is non-binary also fluid with no rules? How are we supposed to keep up? I’m not trying to make a joke, I seriously want to understand the rules.

@@welshwitch2126 Good on you for seeking clarification! You obviously want to honor people's preferences, and do it correctly. "I" and "you" are gender neutral. "He" and "she" are not, so the gender-neutral "they/them" is preferred by many (maybe most -- I dunno) non-binary people. I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you need more clarification.
@@welshwitch2126so non-binary people would still use I, and still be referred to as you when addressing in that context - just the same as I use she/her but I and you still apply because those are non-gendered words. Does that help?
