An amazing post and the first of yours I've seen! Love the tons of snow at 7:30. If you see that much snow on the trees you know there's a lot on the ground - and also that had to be cleared for the train. Thanks for showing the Chilhuly glass in Seattle- I knew of his work decades ago and he is a genius! I took the train from Seattle to I think Bellingham, WA along the coast and that was great. It may have gone on to Canada I can't recall if I took it farther north. Good you mentioned the crew being loud at midnight -- I'd let Amtrak know about that. Best from Colorado!
Ive always wanted to do the California to Chicago train but this makes me want to try the Starlight. Seems like a creative and low key way to use vacation time. Just wish train travel was more affordable in the US! Thanks for posting!
Yeah, it is a bit pricey, but consider the fact that you are getting a private sleeper car and six meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner both days). Thank you so much for watching!
i am taking this trip in february. i can not wait for it. thanks for the video

This is so cool, something I've always wanted to do, although I think San Francisco would be about as much as I could deal with! Loved it!
Thanks, Tim! You should definitely try it! The only negative was the difficulty sleeping.
