I was born in 2004. I didn't know how it was when HSM 2 was released. But I'm pretty sure it made the every teenagers at that time feel sweet. Because I can feel the same feeling even with this remake version.
@@the_alter_ well I’m going to give you a great history lesson on how my generation (and what I mean by that is people who were born in the late 1990s cause I was born in 1996) was eagerly anticipating HSM 2. Think of Avengers: Endgame as an example, HSM 2 was basically the most anticipated event on TV in 2007, anticipation for HSM 2 was at an all time high and when it came out it became the most watched DCOM in Disney Channel history (with over 17 million viewers on premiere night) and to this very day no DCOM has come close to reaching that many viewers. So when this episode played this song it made me feel like I was 11 again in 2007 watching HSM 2 for the first time and it was an amazing experience. And the same goes for anyone who is my age who witnessed HSM 2 for the first time.
This show continues to give things we never asked for yet feel always oddly satisfying when they do happen. As a 26 year old guy who watched the OG movies as a kid / teen; I felt all of the emotions here. Am I slightly pissed we'll probably never get a proper HSM 4 movie? Sure. But this is an amazing way to continue the franchise without having to continue the trilogy and leave those characters where they ended. If anything, having Corbin here and Lucas and Kaycey in season 1 really gives it the stamp of approval for us older fans

This season proved the show can go on with out Olivia, respectfully. They did amazing in transitioning her out and highlighting everyone’s talent this season. This gave season 1 and high school musical 2 vibes which are arguably the best season and movie for each.
Joshua's voice stood out to me so much in the second he started singing, it's insane. There was instant nostalgia because his voice was so fitting for Troy's part and his voice overall is so beautiful
Everything in this final episodes is just everything The elsa from Kourtney is absolutely beautiful, full of emotion, the stage is blowing my mind. Miss Jen is the very unique charactor that is so impact in this show. I think if this episode will have more like deep emotion about EJ or just a solo song of EJ being both Heartbroken and Disappointed in his dad this gonna be a very very good episode. The song is so good and very nostalgia I'm crying like a baby in this scene ;)
The Ej stuff might get delved into next season. I know he graduated but he is still friends with people who attend and his Ashley's cousin. They left his story line open.

As an OG fan of the original movies, I had to quietly freak out when Corbin started to sing because my 2-week old baby was asleep. It also made me tear up. A solid scene to an overall decent finale.
I just looked at Corbin on the thumbnail and tapped to watch it. I got so emotional as I grew up with the old cast of HSM, it brought back so many memories and honestly us 90’s girls/guys are so lucky and blessed that we grew up in a time where things were more realistic, original and simple. The vibes were on a whole another level, the feeling was different! 🥺❤️

Having seen the performance of Love Is An Open Door/High School Musical from D23 Expo, I'm wondering if some of the camp friends we met in season 3: Saylor Bell (Maddox), Adrian Lyles (Jet), and Liamani Segura (Emmy) will be part of the show in season 4 since they were in that performance last weekend.
I adored that by the end of this season EJ has seemed to adopt Elton as his name by the end. I hope it sticks. Would love to see him adopt Elton as his name as a way of showing his growth and acceptance of himself.

Thoughts on Episode 8: OMG!! RINA was really Endgame!! We all thought it was going to end the season but I wasn’t expecting the ending like this. The Finale was an amazing episode and was long at least. Opening Night was tremendous and Kourtney was outstanding as Elsa! Everyone was great including Ricky. I’m glad to see Nini one last time! I’m glad to see everyone do their best on opening night. It was good to see Big Red and Miss Jenn again. The episode was filled with emotions and shocking moments. Season 3 really show so many surprises, drama and many more. I actually enjoy Season 3 and love the idea of a summer camp with putting a production of Frozen. It really redeem itself from Season 2 and we finally saw some more growth from the characters and development. This season really mean my expectations and improve by a lot. Season 3 maybe be over but Season 4 is now the next step on this journey for the East High Kids as we know HSM 4 will happen in the storyline and possibly a reunion with the OG Cast from the movie if they will be on this show.
It would be great since Zac and Vanessa had posted pictures in front of East High! I haven't grown up watching them, but I would like to see them on the final season!
Just because they ended the season with a kiss doesn't mean they are already endgame. We still have one or more seasons left and knowing this show no couple ever stays together lol

he performances are great: Now, there are many things that need to be said about this season finale 1. Ginna and Ricky's kiss just proves that Ginna never liked Ej. She always liked Ricky. However, I think that they should have waited more to have them together, it was kind of rush. I just hope that after this, they find a way to keep Ej on the show because I want to see where his story goes. I just cannot stop thinking what if it were the other way around and Nini would have decided to stay with Ej and leave Ricky, how would he have felt? I am questioning this because I do not like the message that it sends: It is like, you can be with one person one day, get over it and the next day you can be with another one. I insist Ricky should have ended up solo. 2. Ej's father is not a nice person, when Ej was talking to him and he said "he hung up" my heart broke in a million pieces. I'm glad that Val was with him to support him. But it is also a reality, and sometimes parents don't support their children no matter what they do to get their support. Luckily, Ej has Miss Jenn and his friends who will stand by his side. 3. I wasn't expecting Big Red to come out in the documentary, that was a plot twist. I love how he and Ashlyn supported each other. That's healthy and nice LQBTQ+ representation. Disney is doing a good job on that matter with this show. In short, although, I am a bit conflicted with Ginna and Ricky being together so fast, this was by far the best season finale. I loved every second of it. 4. I love the new meaning that Disney is adding to the iconic songs. In this occasion, This is me is not about two people who finally got to know each other as in the case of Michi and Shane in Camp Rock. It is about about a group of friends supporting each other and getting ready to shine. I love it. 5. Nini A.K.A Olivia Rodrigo being present during the performances supporting her friends was the perfect goodbye for her character.

Now, there are many things that need to be said about this season finale 1. Ginna and Ricky's kiss just proves that Ginna never liked Ej. She always liked Ricky. However, I think that they should have waited more to have them together, it was kind of rush. I just hope that after this, they find a way to keep Ej on the show because I want to see where his story goes. I just cannot stop thinking what if it were the other way around and Nini would have decided to stay with Ej and leave Ricky, how would he have felt? I am questioning this because I do not like the message that it sends: It is like, you can be with one person one day, get over it and the next day you can be with another one. I insist Ricky should have ended up solo. 2. Ej's father is not a nice person, when Ej was talking to him and he said "he hung up" my heart broke in a million pieces. I'm glad that Val was with him to support him. But it is also a reality, and sometimes parents don't support their children no matter what they do to get their support. Luckily, Ej has Miss Jenn and his friends who will stand by his side.
3. I wasn't expecting Big Red to come out in the documentary, that was a plot twist. I love how he and Ashlyn supported each other. That's healthy and nice LQBTQ+ representation. Disney is doing a good job on that matter with this show. In short, although, I am a bit conflicted with Ginna and Ricky being together so fast, this was by far the best season finale. I loved every second of it.
4. I love the new meaning that Disney is adding to the iconic songs. In this occasion, This is me is not about two people who finally got to know each other as in the case of Michi and Shane in Camp Rock. It is about about a group of friends supporting each other and getting ready to shine. I love it.
5. Nini A.K.A Olivia Rodrigo being present during the performances supporting her friends was the perfect goodbye for her character.
Just because they ended the season with a kiss doesn't mean they are already endgame. We still have one or more seasons left and knowing this show no couple ever stays together lol
