The real difference here is: Drago trained his body. Rocky trained his mind. It's really easy to be at your best performance when you are in a lab with people which the whole job is to make you do better, but when you but yourself alone, outside in a cold weather, running up a montain with only you and your thoughts, that's how you get a tought mind.

And on top of that, Drago doesn’t know the feeling when you’re bleeding, or to feel pain whatsoever. While Rocky on the other hand, knows what it’s like to feel pain.

@@kimsuitti2007 Fair point buddy that's why I said "partly explains" as there are other factors which make world class athletes. Take the Olympic track events for example; the 100m and 200m used to be dominated by the USA (with Tyson Gay, Michael Johnson etc) but has now been dominated in recent history by Jamaica (with Asafa Powell and, of course, Usain Bolt). I think you're correct - that in more developed countries that there are many more 'distractions' shall we say, and in third world countries there is more a natural 'drive' and a predetermined motivation to use their talents to live a better, more prosperous life.
If there was an English football player who was brought up well in the UK, eventually it won't matter how well plays/played football or whatever the outcome of the game is. He will still go home in his Lamborghini Aventador back to his countryside mansion subconsciously not give a crap. That mindset is a big disadvantage. Though I must stress we are all, of course, different.
A player from wherever in the world with a much more unfortunate and harsh background will have that fighting spirit to go beyond his limits and emerge a new talent. Or as Apollo Creed once said the "eye of the tiger."
Wherever you're from in the world, so many people have so much talent these days that you have to be something and someone truly special to get noticed, to get that opportunity.
      Soz I ramble on lmao.

I have to agree wholeheartedly to your comment. When I was bedbound (around 2008) and unable to move for days due to a lower back injury, the call of nature was finally too much. I managed somehow to get myself into a crawling position and used the furniture to get to the foot of the stairs. When I got there, I asked my sister to put this montage on. I sat and listened and at the point where Hearts on Fire began, I stood up and walked up the stairs like there was no problem, made it to the bathroom and sat down. I was absolutely inspired by this soundtrack as a kid when I would exercise to try and rid me of the depressive thoughts. I was simply astounded how it enabled me to climb the stairs when I was literally unable to walk. I always turn to this montage in moments of crisis. Nothing else inspires me the same way. So yes, it "Just gives you pure motivation to achieve anything". I couldn't have put it better myself.

Rocky is built on the idea that it’s all about the fighting spirit in a man, and how much he is willing to give with what he is given. Drago stands for personal achievement, with every machine at his disposal. It’s crazy how much detail went into both characters.

My life changed when I saw Rocky movies that inspired me to transform and overcome myself. I began running through my neighborhood exactly like Rocky.

Totally transformed...workouting since 2015, played football as a DE and LB, practiced judo and boxing (like Rocky) so athletic, a little defined but much developed muscular mass and thicker shoulders, self confident and higher self esteem, ambitious and dedicated college student. Hope to graduate soon and have a good job as a CGI animator and practice karate or judo again on my free time.
