Praise God, y'all have a shelter. I live in a upstairs apartment with no storm shelter. I have a 2 story cement garage across the way from my apartment. Mine is on the bottom floor of it. I'm not sure if it will be safe but it's safer than my upstairs apartment. So when I hear sirens and I watch the news to see how close it is and then hook up my dogs on their leashes and head for the garage. When they say go to your safe spot now, I do just that. I don't wait. Tornadoes are so unpredictable and fast! I start to get my stuff ready ahead of time when I hear there are tornadoes in the surrounding area. Better to be safe than sorry. So glad you all were safe and the only real damage was the grill. Stay safe. God bless.😊❤ Oh and I live in Ozark, Missouri.
@@TeamTateOutdoors I'm about 32 miles, 40 mins. from Branson. It is green! I love it! I used to live in Az and it was HOT, dry and brown. I mean it has some appeal for a short minute but I still love the green. 🙂
Our house was in that tornado. We really were blessed to have no structural damage. A lot of trees, 2 days w/o water. 10 without power. Only time I've ever heard a tornado growl, which is separate from the freight train sound. It's like an hungry animal sound. It's crazy. But if you hear it, you know it. Tore up a bunch of trees. You could really see that it was a multi-vortex system by the way it just sort of tore up our trees, even a neighbor's tree which was a good 8ft in diameter at the ground level. But you can see where it topped the trees, almost like a selective cutting cut here, there, knock over that one, leave other's almost untouched. First time in we've ever closed and locked the shelter door as I was worried our garage door was about to buckle under the wind, it was bowing inward hard. Despite all the damage here, it could have been worse, MUCH WORSE. This same storm went on to kill people in Rogers,Arkansas. The kind of tornado itself has been the kind that's been leveling entire towns this season. So, despite the damage, it could have been a lot worse.
It was a crazy storm, glad you’re alright. Is your place all cleaned up now? I know it’s gonna take everyone a long time to get insurance claims and structures fixed. Keep us updated on here. We will keep you all in our prayers that you guys can get back to normal sooner than later.
Glad you all are ok! I see others on social media weren't so lucky. I don't know what's worse, tornados or earthquake. We live right on one of the faults here in the Bay Area and it scares me if there will ever be another big one. I've only experienced small quakes and even those scares me. You guys be safe!!
Glad everyone is ok, you should put a shelf up just outside your shelter with the ear plugs and lights and maybe some water so these things are easy to grab in a hurry.
So glad you weren't blown away while you ran around finding stuff. This is how people die. Keep that shelter stocked. And don't worry about the outside until the alarm ends. Then clean up. You Tube Channel: Ryan Hall Y'all
We watch him too but he was covering another tornado near Texas and Oklahoma City. We knew it was north east of us a bit. We were in before the bad stuff hit. We have plans to get better at this for future. Thanks Carol.
Thank you Lord Jesus for placing a hedge of protection around this family. This is a good reminder to realize what is lying around or sitting out can become a lethal weapon. I think Doss Farms is up in Claremore

Thank you Doris, do you guys get Tornados in Australia?
@@TeamTateOutdoors Not really. We have hurricanes occasional up north in Queensland and Northern Territory

I’ve never been to ozark MO, but I bet it’s beautiful there. How close are you to Branson? Stay safe during the storms.

You can’t really hide from an earthquake as they hit out of no where, at least tornados you can.

Good idea, Linda is having me build her a bench in the shelter so we can organize all the gear in there.
@@TeamTateOutdoors That's a good one, you could make some storage under it.
@@xsiner that’s what she wants me to do with it.
Glad everyone is okay.. I’d say the storm shelter has already paid for it self.
For the pace of mind Roy I would say so.

Thank you Darlene for your prayers, we have definitely needed them lately.
