- في يوم الأحد الموافق 28.1.24 قرابة الساعة 16:00 خرج مصعب ربيعي، من سكان قرية التواني، ليعيد إلى الزريبة عددًا من الأغنام التي ابتعدت عن منزله قليلًا، في المشارف الجنوبية الشرقية للقرية، التي أقيمت بالقرب منها البؤرة الاستيطانية "حفات معون".
اقترب من الرجل عدد من الجنود، أحدهم يعرفه ربيعي كمستوطن، صرخوا عليه وعلى أشخاص آخرين كانوا في المنطقة وطردوهم تحت التهديد بالسلاح، رغم أنهم لم يقتربوا من البؤرة الاستيطانية. وعندما وصل رئيس مجلس التواني، محمد ربيعي (38 عاماً) إلى المكان لاستيضاح الأمر وما الذي يحدث، انقض عليه الجنود واقتادوه في اتجاه البؤرة الاستيطانية، وهناك انضم إليهم عشرة جنود آخرين يعرفهم بأنهم مستوطنون، فقيّدوا يديه خلف ظهره وغطوا عينيه بقطعة قماش وأجلسوه على الأرض. بعد ذلك، أبلغ جنود محمد ربيعي بأنه رهن الاعتقال وأخلوه من المكان. ولم يتم الإفراج عنه إلا بعد مضي ثمانية أيام، بعد إيداع كفالة مالية بمبلغ 5,000 شيكل,
