Thanks so much! Was having the same problem and following your instructions I fixed it. Hardest part was getting that hinge pin out! Appreciate it.
Hi i have a problem with my 2DS Xl. so i accidentally dropped it on a SOFT carpet and now when i want to start it the blue lamp shows up but then there is a pop sound and the blue lamp is out (sorry for my bad english). is there anyway to fix it? (i dont know if the motherboard or the upper or the lower screen got damaged) EDIT: i dropped it while it was closed and charging isnt... workin maybe because i plug it in the red lamp shos up but it stays on it (i dont remember what the charging color was because i dropped it in 2017 so yeah i would be really happy if there is any way to fix it).
Hi, I hope you can help me with a pretty basic question. I hear a tiny pop noise every time I switch the console on, off and when exiting the settings menu. Seems to come from the left side.
I'm new to these consoles and just got a N3DS XL from eBay, which aside from this is working and not turning off (yet) like the one in your video. I've seen that the "bad" popping noise is louder and seems to happen after the first one I described. So, do you know if the tiny one is normal (always happens? like a boot sound), or is the beginning of the major fault? Thanks.
Hey so my new 2ds xl refurbished by gamestop just did this and it's not looking like the top screen the pop is coming from the battery
Dude thanks I can show the repair shop to fix mine
Do you think this would be the same fix for a new 3ds xl? I bought a for parts unit from ebay because im cheap lol and I'm starting with the speaker ribbon cable. I completely disassembled and found that all the ribbon cables from the top have seen a lot of wear but i can't pin point exactly which one may be the problem. Ill check back in when the new part gets here.
I've taken a few different ds's apart and a lot the ribbon cable look ok but it's still had a fault?
@@fixingmoddingbuilding Does that mean that there really isn't a way to figure about which ribbon is the problem without testing each one. I mean either the camera, screen, or speaker ribbons
@@just_a_guy1476 Sometimes its obvious which one is bad but if they both look good its going to be trial and error.
The messages are turning on and off in
Less than a second. Can anyone tell me what to do?
I guess just pause in time or slow down the video. Poor quality on the video maker, but it still works nonetheless
Could it be the bottom one? Btw mine is cracked as well so more chances of the bottom one?
It's unlikely to happen on this model, because the speakers are not in a flex cable.
Nice tutorial!
I had same type problem with my n2ds xl.
Mine's broken with the top screen is detached so I have to unplug the flex and wifi antenna that connected to the bottom screen, so with the lower screen only I try to power it on and suddenly got "pop" sounds and immediately turn off
But as you said that when "pop" sounds appear the screen would flash and then turn off, mine's same but there seems to be a crack like lightning shape at the screen, so does that mean my bottom screen also needs to be replaced? do you think the speakers are the problem too?
I think I would start with the top screen and work my way down before buying more than you need
@@fixingmoddingbuilding I'll try that and give update when my 2ds xl fixed, thank you so much!
I would love to do this but I’m way to scared to take apart my 2ds xl and mess it up even more.
Yo this helped a lot
Does the popping sound always mean it’s the screen or can it be other things like the mother board?
I've heard that if the blue light on a 2ds or 3ds pops then turns off,one of the ribbon cables inside might have come loose. If the console was hacked and the blue light slowly fades out,it means it's missing some of its hack files.
If only I knew this when my pikachu one did this
Mine is like this but no one can fix it :(
Great time to sell then mate, ebay prices are going through the roof!!
Thank you so much for the instructions. It worked on mine. Thank you so much.🙏
