Omo finally. There was actual plot development in this show that wasn't completely useless in the long run. First, Areum actually opened her mouth and honestly spoke to her mom about Tiffany. She admits that she made a mistake but she doesn't down play the love she has for her daughter or the amount she is willing to sacrifice for her. Also her mom started to understand, as a fellow mother, what struggles Areum faced as a single mother. She understands that all of the milestones that a new mother shares with her family and spouse weren't experienced by Areum which is pretty sad. Honestly, even if the dad gets mad it is better Areum tells him rather than a reporter or any other outside party spilling the beans. Especially because if he decides to disown her which is the worst case scenario he is prepared to pretty much erase her from his family. I am not condoning this but since this is the Kdrama world he better do it sooner rather than later. Also, I like that the mother finally told the father how he ruins Jinu's self-esteem when he compares him to Areum I still have mixed feeling about Phillip. He personally isn't my type and he sounds creepy most of the time. Also, we can argue that he doesn't know Areum saw him get married and he doesn't know he is a father. He did however break up with Areum without giving her a reason. We can assume he didn't love the other girl and he didn't want Areum to hate him but with or without the baby she was going to resent him for leaving her and she isn't going to be jumping for joy to get back with him. Also, we can imply that he cheated on her or maybe she saw him out with that other girl and got the wrong idea (which we all know is the right idea). Either way he left her in the rain after some indiscretion. Phillip, you are not that cute that she is going to be happy to see you after a year. Either way I have been quite frustrated with this show until this point but hopefully we can see some growth from Areum who needs to fess up completely before things get worse and so Tiffany can have a more stable life.
Drama is only a drama watct carefully and gives u knowledge benifits..this drama is about a giving birth with a young age and more risk is how is suppose to be rise a child while hiding with ur parents u can't concentrate and focus on ur all day... Is this type of women (2nd lead actress) don't feel embarrassed when the man they are begging to love/marry them rejects them? Is so embarrassing to me to watch. I hate this kind of character so much. This happened in melody of love and she make her family to hate the guy as if the guy used and dumped her
Also I really don't care about any future love triangle (quadrangle?). I am too worried about Areum being a decent mother and wondering when she will tell her family (namely her father) the truth. I know this is a drama so it is SUPPOSED to be dramatic but honestly if Areum starts getting feelings for Seungho or not I really don't care. Also, does Phillip staring longingly into space, saying he misses Areum, and running into traffic when he sees her make people root for him? I don't know what makes him seem like a suitable partner but if he's willing to take care of her child and she can forgive him for lying then those should be the qualifiers for a relationship. Anyone that isn't good for her baby shouldn't even be an option. Sometimes when she is worrying about things other than work or Tiffany it confuses me but I don't know. How is this baby ok? Her life is so hectic and she is barely one year old. I know that Areum prefers to live with her parents while she settles at work and back in Korea but I, personally, would want to be wherever my baby is...but whatever...I'm just going to see what happens next.
In Korea dramas mother care too much for what people think they care for the children but often want to get rude off the grandchildren, how can any one not love the grandkids?
Areum keeps cracking me up saying she can raise Tiffany on her own. She has no plan, and no one outside of her scheming aunt and her mother to watch the baby. She let the aunt take the baby again, after the woman abandoned her while running from gangsters. She works overtime but is completely unproductive without her bosses help, and doesn't bother to check on her baby. Now she's running from Phillip. I get that the relationship didn't end well but what is she hiding for? She thinks he's married and he doesn't know about Tiffany, and its not like there is anyone to tell him. Besides she needs all the financial and emotional support she can get. They've written Areum as a airhead.

I've watched plenty of drama's and even if they fail or they change their mind, the leads always initially have some kind of plan. She came back to Korea with no job, no place to stay, and no one to watch her baby to enter a contest. She also sucks at her job. So far she's either caused a commotion, run out or not been there at important times, or been unprepared. The one PT that she was prepared for was because her boss gave her the pertinent information. Either her irresponsible aunt, or her mother (who wants to get rid of Tiffany) have her baby. And she doesn't even check on her tiny infant when she is at work. She is a hot mess, and she keeps saying how she can do things on her own but so far the only thing she was able to do on her own was make that "joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat" trench.
87leafar I don't have a problem with the actress, I never said anything about her abilites. That's why I wrote Areum. I have a problem with the character. Of course the writers are responsible for making her an idiot. I'm annoyed with them. This is the second drama where a single mother acts like a flustered babysitter instead of the custodial parent. The Greatest Marriage is the other drama that makes the single mom look like a fool. On the other hand Jang BoRi may have been one of the dumbest characters written, but she was a great mom.

Meanwhile, Yuni is really getting on my nerves. Between her going after Areum without provocation and therefore just turning into an old fashioned bully, to her listening to the stepmother whom she knows Seongun hates, to her making him into the bad guy when she throws herself at him and is humiliated by his rejection, I can't stand the character. And of course you just know later on when he finally ends the farce and leaves her hanging she'll take no responsibility for the role she played forcing him and herself to that point. Instead it'll be all his fault because it isn't like he hasn't repeatedly told her that he doesn't love her and doesn't want to marry her, let alone isn't interested in having a real relationship with her. I swear, for every good K drama I love, there is another one with a character like Yuni that I can't stand and will never understand. I want to know who is the real life person Yuni and characters like her are based on. Who are these people, especially women that are running around trying to force a MARRIAGE between themselves and someone that knowingly doesn't love them and expects it to turn out well? I want to meet one of these woman and ask them why. What happened, daddy didn't love them enough so they think if they just arrogantly force what they want on someone else without any regard for how they feel, than they'll be able to get what they want?

La mère qui pense beaucoup plus à sa fille Areum qu'à sa petite fille sans penser aux sentiments que Areum a pour son enfant aussi.
Mais c'est la société coréenne qui lui impose cette manière de penser. La Corée du Sud, ce n'est pas tout à fait la France.
