I love it! Thank you! One question, I have a problem keeping my knees open, when I do my derby stance I tend to skate with my knees bowed in. Do you have any tips for me to learn to skate with my knees open?

Hiya, I've recently had a knee injury and noticed one the coach in this video is wearing a knee brace. Are these legal to play in according to the WFTDA? Is there any metal on the brace? Please can you get in touch - I'm scared I won't play derby any more :(

Is it legal to block opponents in the chest??

Okay, nothing personal but that's not a good way to block. You have no way of moving right and left to keep the blocker behind you if you're going up and down. In every girl's games I've watched the jammers score easily passing the pack more than once sometimes.The blocker needs to be able to quickly move right and left to stop the jammers, not up and down.

While I've seen better blocking on the banked track skating the flat track girl
s still show poor blocking. Jammers score points almost at will and lap the pack over and over at times. My friend is the owner of the new L.A. Tbird's team and that's the one thing all the skaters said when they saw them skate..no blocking.
