Respectfully, i think this transition of male partner from cold to caring to cold can turn toxic, because it will be hard for the male to keep track of transition and it can also leave the female confused about male's feelings towards her. It's hard to sustain this lifestyle in older couples who also have a family. In hard times, it may also add to frustration of both male and female. Female may also misjudge the personality of male partner based on his changing mood. And im not an aggressive feminist or whatever, but would like to hear your thoughts on this.
