If we count the possibilities, first, there will be a nuclear war, which in turn will disrupt electrical devices. Second, a meteor will hit the Earth, like what happened to the dinosaurs, which will destroy the surface of the planet. There are many possibilities that will affect the planet. Except for the possibility of humans getting sick and becoming extinct. @@DanishHafiz-gt4sq
What Earth would look like 600 million years later when the CO2 level falls below enough for C3 photosynthesis to be impossible? And what if humans were still around and on Earth by that time?
I used to watch the series Earth After People. It's amazing to realize how much better the planet would be without humans. But sad to realize dogs would die out very quickly because they've been over domesticated. Cats, on the other hand, would do well because their wildness hasn't been bred out of them.
I am an electrician. LEDs last a super long time. However the LEDs you put in your house have computer chips in them. Most of them would burn out before the actual led itself would. I’ve walked into a basement with an incandescent light bulb from the 60s that’s turns on a few minutes a month. And it’s good. But leds seem to deteriorate even when not in use
I don't think the presence of humans living on Earth determines when the last light will go out. At least not unless humans become Godlike and can control the time of the universe and the way stars are formed and die
I mean like isn't the lifespan of an industrial solar panel 30 years or something so they would go out within 30 years right or is there some which can withstand a century?
A diesel engine could never run for months on end, something would go wrong, a gasket would blow, or they would run away. Diesel generators run at full load constantly so it wouldn’t last for months.
i don’t think for long, and anyone feel free to correct me if i’m wrong soon aquatic life would take over many big lakes, causing damage dams would start to overflow and burst if they aren’t automated ones running on sensors dams also require lots of maintenance
Inspired by XKCD!
I had this question in my mind since i was a little kid, thanks for the knowledge bro...
I have a question. What inspires you most about space?

Solar energy = infinite light as long as sun is still there
The dust would cover them
That, and no-one would be around to man them
depends on the location tbh

In fact, there is no reason for humans to suddenly disappear without the planet undergoing changes that make it difficult to adapt and live in it.
you sure?

This is just another good example of why it’s a good idea to get solar panels. :)
Ah yes I'll get solar panels just in case every human on Earth suddenly dies
@@AK_- Ah yes, no one will ever beat me in having lights for the longest time
They need to be repaired every decade or two. I know people who own them

The last Light would go out when the last phosphorescent charged glowing product radioactively decays
NO! Wind turbines require regular maintenance or they will fail and solar panels are good for 15 to 20 years.
