I got mine off too accept a long time ago
I got my top braces on, got them off, got a retainer, a few months (more like a year) later got them back on, then on June 1st I got my bottom braces on. Yes! I know, a long roller coaster... lol. Oh! And I also have a pallet expander. But yeah! This is literally the BEST way to explain way what it’s like to get braces off...lol

Whats it like getting them put on because im getting mine soon
It doesn’t hurt that much. However, when they put the wires in and tighten them the pressure can be a little painful/uncomfortable. You can pick your rubber and color! So that’s fun! The first time I got braces I got blue, and then the second time I got pink, and then I just got grey the rest of my journey haha. Your teeth feel sore the first couple of days after getting them on. It hurts to eat. It feels like all of your teeth are loose.... but that feeling will go away after a couple of days. It’s all worth it! I wish you the best of luck! :)
