Its just a mix of hay manure doody wood grass coffee grinds and anything i have laying around or think it would be useful. I am a no tiller for 10 yrs and cover crop everything . Raised amazing soybeans last yr w no fertilizer. Treat all seeds w ryzobia and mycrorizae . 1 field had 100 + soybeans . No till into cereal rye let it mature burned it down chemically . Drilled on 15 at 120 pop . Thats the only chemical used . It flooded out yr before . Drilled a 12 way after water receeded. Everything winter killed but rye . I had 1 plant had 442 pods on the plant . I have pics of it . I want to get compost applied to seeds dry if i can . Its all about the soil bacteria and fungi . Those beans had enough nitrogen nodules at r8 end of growing for 200+ corn .

Please tell me if you think my extract process is OK.
    Small scale. Just my garden.
I put my measured Jo-Su compost into a bowl.
I pour, from my measured water, just enough water so that the compost is loose in the water, then I agitate it for about 20 seconds.
I pour that "extract", through a screen, into my spray container.
I put that compost back into the bowl.
I repeat this process until the measured water runs out, and by that time the water is close to clear.
I don't assume much of the bacteria is stuck to the compost by that time.
Do you think this is OK?

      Triticale
Triticale is a hybrid of wheat and rye first bred in laboratories during the late 19th century in Scotland and Germany. Commercially available triticale is almost always a second-generation hybrid, i.e., a cross between two kinds of primary triticales.

this is not a good idea as i see it because of all the fungus and stuff that could be on the compost. it might be too saline for the seed, which in any case does not need nutrients for the beginning. compost applied as mulch inhibits some of the small seeded weeds because they need to see light to germinate. mulch also cuts soil surface evaporation. if you have enough leaves to pile up several inches around plants, you need not compost them. if i had compost for the wheat i would apply it with a manure spreader so long as it was not enough to bury the seed too deep.
