Ha! I was fishing that day on the boat rental side. I saw my truck! Thanks for going to the coyote side. We’re gonna get to launch from asphalt🎉. Last time I went that gate was closed way on top of the hill. Hoping we can launch this week
I was just there yesterday I was amazed i was hoping I would see you but I have seen you one time I was fishing with my grandma at coyote and you pulled up and I said I watch your channel!
The reason that Cachuma filled up is it has a bigger river going into it not just a few small creeks like Casitas . That is true . However The Ventura river Can be diverted into Casitas But the small diversion dam that allows water to go to the canal failed And the inlet clogged up with trees so all the water bypassed!!! This had happened Many times before so it is not unexpected.
Yea if you think about it, cachuma is just a dammed off river, It would be nice if they could divert more water into casitas, It would probably be full like cachuma
My guess is because Cachuma is pretty much a dammed off river so it got tons of water, casitas had small water flows into it so I’m assuming that’s why

Why did Cachuma fill up but not Casitas?
