just a reminder to creator of this video. This video is still alive and is practically the best documentary videos on YT about MT !!! Thank you, for making this video Rob !
This is my favourite documentary ever. Makes you want to train and fight harder than ever before. But on a subtler note, it also humbles you and gives you a new found respect for these Muay Thai Heroes.
What a brilliant documentary, shows off Muay Thai to perfection. Well done to the presenter, great job. This shows the sport to a real art form, and these Thai fighters are in a class of their own. I just hope that Thailand keeps producing such fighters. Great film, more of these please.
This was a pretty cool doc. Love the shots, interviews and the music/ beats, they went very well with this. Saenchai is a Legend man. Respect to all those fighters keeping Muay Thai alive.
Brilliant documentary. Cheers for sharing. By any chance, does anyone know the music in the closing credits? Or any recommendations on how i could find it? FUck.. Its like Saenchai has a PHD in Muay Thai!!
the reason why the Thai's are the best strikers in the world is because where most of the great fighters/most fighters (if not all) came from are the slums and ghettos and the only way to feed themselves and their families is to either study hard or fight full time. that dedication and love for their families drive them to train hard and become the best they can be in order to survive.
@landgabriel Like said in the video it is an ancient technique, that is not used anymore, because it isn't very effective in the ring. The only fighter who uses it now and then is Saenchai. I haven't seen any other fighter using it.
buakaw fought him too twice like yodsanklai.. both of them lost twice against orono... yodsanklai two times by ko (and tko) and buakaw by decision ... but this was very long ago
that's because southpaws have the natural advantage of having their rear hand aiming down your open side, as well as the natural unorthodox style. not many orthodox fighters are used to fighting southpaws. couple that with the ridiculous amount of skill yod and saenchai possess, it's small wonder they do so well.
It is just used for demonstration/entertainment/play act. and its a knee not a kick. if this move were to be used in a match its just asking for a kick to the face then a KO.
@Spectre671 yes youre right i train with a former lumpinee champion they are good as hell ive punched him like 3 times and he destroyed me 30 times haha but they are very friendly people !
@mexmtk the thais are the best boxers? ive never been to thailand, but i practice in muay thai and know some people that already trained there(thailand) and the one thing you always hear: thais got the best kicking, the worst boxing..
anyone notice that this guy has a nice set of teeth? lol kind of surprising that a top muay thai fighter who gets hit in the face so much has perfect set of teeth
I'm all about Muay Thai, but none of the fighters shown here would even come close to beating Floyd Mayweather in a straight boxing match. Great documentary though, I can't wait to go back and train with guys like Anuwat again.
I love MMA and I am very excited about it's potential of Muay Thai in the USA, but the promoters and gyms are not there yet. This UFC 'grab ass' shit is killing American Boxing and there is absolutely no great contact sport here.
Your insane. But since you train I challenge you to give me a breakdown of how a Thai Boxer (Buakaw for example) could dominate Floyd, I punch faster than you blink, Mayweather Jr.
Yod is really stocky right now ... he is wanting to fight bigger Farangs. Dr. Seanchai is back in Bangkok and getting ready for his big Fight in England. Hook up with me training with him at FaceBook = "Muay Thai Missions". ;-)
@mexmtk the thais have the best training, rlly all asians are build the same. When you see some fat mustled dude you think, oh he can knock me out easily. But the bigger you are, the easier you are to hit, and when "they" hit "they" hit hard.
buakaws boxing has never impressed me. Watch his second fight with Masato, Masato runs a boxing clinic on him. Also there is something to be gained from training your hands exclusivly day in and day out. The stances are different in the two arts as is the footwork wich in boxing is much more evasive and quicker. The stance in muay thai differes to the one in boxing in that it offers less mobility in exchange for a solid kicking base.
I'm smoking crack? What makes you think any of these thais has hand skills anywhere near those of the recognized pound for pound best boxer in the world? I've sparred with people such as Anuwat and Jomhod and I can tell you they are amazing muay thai fighters, but they are not world class boxers.
just a reminder to creator of this video. This video is still alive and is practically the best documentary videos on YT about MT !!! Thank you, for making this video Rob !

Superb Muay Thai doco. Best since 'Born For The Fight' Thanks
This was a pretty cool doc. Love the shots, interviews and the music/ beats, they went very well with this. Saenchai is a Legend man. Respect to all those fighters keeping Muay Thai alive.
Extremly good interviewer/host, it's obvious that he has been to Thailand for a long time because he really knows what he is talking about...
thank you eldargross i loved this documentary, im training muay thai myself going in to my second year and i love studying tapes for techniques
love this doc brotha. Prime Saenchai was the greatest of all time

unreal,keep tthem coming.
Sechai looks like a beast. His style is amazing.
@541099 The music is "Lion Heart"
Brilliant documentary. Cheers for sharing. By any chance, does anyone know the music in the closing credits? Or any recommendations on how i could find it?
FUck.. Its like Saenchai has a PHD in Muay Thai!!
Yep, couldn't agree more. I have seen the same thing with jiu jitsu. Technique is prime.
Last song is emancipator- Lion heart if anyone want's to know? :)
5 star!
Keep it up bro!!
Very true.
What Emancipator tracks do they use during the Saen Chai segment? I know the last one is Lionheart............but what is the first one?
does anyone know what the music that is being played in this video is?
good song what is it?
thank u very much :)
would anyone like to tell me the 3 names of the fighters
Man, these guys are so fast and strong, im impressed...
Must be painfull be a MT coach
what school they train? anyone know's?
yodsenklai was on muay thai contender ITV show, he won it
Music : Emancipator
YESS!! Make that happen please - Yod vs Buakaw (while they both at their prime) hehehe
What's the song/group at approx. 2:17 ? Thanks!
@541099 It's by Emancipator.
who made the music?
anyone know the name of the song that starts at 2:25??
Damn Saenchai is fast! Very very nice technical skills...
2:45...or the meaning of "kicking with your hips" instead of "with the leg"!
the reason why the Thai's are the best strikers in the world
is because where most of the great fighters/most fighters (if not all) came from are the slums and ghettos and the only way to feed themselves and their families is to either study hard or fight full time. that dedication and love for their families drive them to train hard and become the best they can be in order to survive.
and why is that?
@kickboxerk1 debatable.... :)
But yes some of the best are from the Netherlands.
@moos14 i think they mean boxers as in fighters, not literally "boxers"
@landgabriel Like said in the video it is an ancient technique, that is not used anymore, because it isn't very effective in the ring. The only fighter who uses it now and then is Saenchai. I haven't seen any other fighter using it.
What's the name of the music around 7:00?
Makes me want to train!
why?
jesus mother fkn christ kingstars kicks are so solid with so much power and speed!!!!!
These guys forget to mention Fuji Chalmsak!!!! hes a very skilled fighter and gave Buakaw trouble when they fought!
NICE! :D
wtf kick was that at 2:50 ? looks like something out of capoeira
For all the Buakaw fans outthere, Buakaw is never top of Thailand and he made famous fighting in K-1 not Muay Thai rules.
"no doubt pound for pound best Muay Thai fighter"
The Most Dangerous Person, Is The One With Nothing To Lose!
buakaw fought him too twice like yodsanklai.. both of them lost twice against orono... yodsanklai two times by ko (and tko) and buakaw by decision ... but this was very long ago
Muay Thai FAM rocks!!
SawazzzzzzzzDEE, DOC. ;-)
@simmo19801 thanks alot been searching for this song :)

@44rumblefish (: Thanks.
It is just used for demonstration/entertainment/play act. and its a knee not a kick. if this move were to be used in a match its just asking for a kick to the face then a KO.
bcuz
its a kick from muay boran
@Spectre671
yes youre right i train with a former lumpinee champion they are good as hell ive punched him like 3 times and he destroyed me 30 times haha but they are very friendly people !
I'm not sure what the trainer with the pads is being paid to soak up all those kicks but it's not enough.
buakaw is just real famous, so beating buakaw would make yodsanklai even more famous
5 people obviously don't do Muay Thai.
Muay Thai is hardcore and awesome. Enough said.
@Spectre671 my friend the best strikers are the dutch boys.. ;)
this is debatable.....why?
what about wrestling?
o0o0o shit i would love to see yodsanklai vs buakaw!!!! i would have to say i think yodsanklai would win!
@mexmtk
the thais are the best boxers?
ive never been to thailand, but i practice in muay thai and know some people that already trained there(thailand) and the one thing you always hear:
thais got the best kicking, the worst boxing..
Haha. Yeah. You are wery cool now, respect.
Do you feel better about yourself..
there is more then ufc in the mma world
this is muay thai world. do you call this mma?
you reckon wrong my friend
Its funny two out of the three best fighters in Thailand are southpaws :-) Yod and Sanchai. Southpaw rules!!
anyone notice that this guy has a nice set of teeth? lol kind of surprising that a top muay thai fighter who gets hit in the face so much has perfect set of teeth
lol, say it to samart!
hE keEps losing l8ly..thougH he woN sUm maTches stilL noT thE saMe bUakaw as we knew.

Saenchai is by far the coolest Nak muay I have ever met. Buakaw.......not so much.
Yod is really stocky right now ... he is wanting to fight bigger Farangs. Dr. Seanchai is back in Bangkok and getting ready for his big Fight in England. Hook up with me training with him at FaceBook = "Muay Thai Missions". ;-)
i'm excited when yod always beat the hell out of bigger farang 99% of all fights.
I agree he was never the best, though he was an omnoi stadium champ.
@mexmtk the thais have the best training, rlly all asians are build the same. When you see some fat mustled dude you think, oh he can knock me out easily. But the bigger you are, the easier you are to hit, and when "they" hit "they" hit hard.
not much choices when you live in poverty in Thailand. You either become a fighter or a monk. You have to pay to attend school there.
buakaws boxing has never impressed me. Watch his second fight with Masato, Masato runs a boxing clinic on him. @mattbody69
In Sanda rules ,shame on money's power
maybe cos he isnt regarded as the best in thailand?
