The Capricorn.... It's not the feathers you have to worry about, it's sucking in the Pelikans thats the problem.

So you had pelican in the turbine? Those are very often the cause of malfunction.

Morten Kristoffersen I like to do things right.
If the japanese engineer say to put 142ml of 10w oil in earch fork tube, that's what i'll do.
If there's no information, only then will i use the hammer and the huge flat screwdriver (as a chisel and a prybar).

I Like the thought process that was put into these Carburetor filter screens. The first thing I noticed is your use of the 20 micron screening in front of the 1 micron mesh thus trapping large particles prior to clogging the 1 micron fabric filter.. Vey Well Engineered,, very well designed,, very well installed !!!!! Bad Ass !

Ive solved debris getting into my carb permanently, and I don't even use a air filter. Go to the hardware store and buy a 1 lb box of rockcrete quick drying hydraulic cement, mix it up with some water to a thick consistence and spoon it into the carb throat till its full then trowel it off even with the end of the carb. Nothin gets in there that can cause any harm! This saves big time on expensive filters and the engine stays in perfect shape forever.

Very informative. Have noticed that everybody seems to avoid diagnosing and fixing electrical faults on motorbikes? If you could throw some light on this problematic and neglected area then I think it would be a good thing. The Japanese metric electrics seem good when new but seem problematic when they get older, unlike British electrics that stay unreliable from new. At least Triumph electrics can be relied upon to be unreliable unlike Honda that can't be relied upon to be unreliable.
