I was 100 miles away from Chernobyl when it blew. I was13. Since then, I have broken 18 bones. I can't get x-rays anymore, so I have to rely on how I feel when I fall down or break. I really appreciate your information. Thanks.

Thanks for this! (I am applying for a radiographic imaging assistant job in the next week, they don't need any qualifications from me so I'm trying to absorb (so to speak) everything i can!) Very clear and concise :)

is the blackish part on xray due to compton scatter?

Compton leads to haze in the image, the black or dark regions are areas where there is little attention such as in the lungs

hello Ms. Christy ...... if you knew the kvp and mas settings and then viewed some pictures... would you be able to modify the settings to get a better quality contrasted picture ?????

If you have adequate penetration of x-rays then you can lower the kVp for higher contrast
