I'm not a big Take That fan but these guys smashed it with the Sergei Prokofiev 'Montagues and Capulets' hook on Robbie William's 'Party Like A Russian' track. If you missed it in 2016 when it released, check it.
A nice insight and a good overall interview. They both seem a bit jaded or tired but this is still worth viewing to hear their opinions. Thanks for uploading this......
+Luca Alari-Williams you welcome, they are about $20,000 a piece, if you ask me a AT5040 is on the same league and maybe even better. I am big fan of some very specific AT microphones. Best
+Luca Alari-Williams The 4050 is okey, but you should really check the two models from the 50 series, the 4080 ribbon, and from the 40 series the 4047 is a big favorite of mine. Another great mic is the 4051. Best!
Chambers is nothing more than a lucky mediocrity. His self-importance is bizarre considering the consistently derivative nature of his output. In this interview, he even admits that his material is largely just a shameless imitation of the work of superior artists. My question to him would be: Why do you need expensive analogue equipment to produce such uninspired mediocre, generic pop music? If you have nothing to offer artistically then equipment elitism becomes very important to you, I suppose.
@@garyhillman4993 watched it again 4 years later and he’s still a pompous mediocrity. I mean Sting is pompous but at least he’s talented. Sting wipes the floor with Chambers.
'If I'm boring someone' - IF? Gawd what a couple of miserable people. How about some musical examples of what they're talking about, it meant to be about music!
I’ve always loved guys chord progressions. They are definitely a bit spicer than your standard top 10. Especially middle eights.
great interview
Awesome space, warm and bright..excellent!

+Ricardo Wheelock wow okay, that explains why I have never seen one haha. Yes I've used the 4050 on vocals and guitar and really like it

I think the sound of his stomach is over compressed ;)
someone had a rubbling tummy at 10:28 lol
Commercial music has been monopolised by private-school people and Mi7. This is unacceptable.
Isn't it true that Robbie Williams and Chambers merely re-worked an Irish guy's song with Angels? And paid him off for the rights to the song.
My god that engineer doesn't look very happy at all. ARGHHH
