- We finally have a house with a room big enough for Chris to build a dinning table. Using salvaged found pieces to do so. It's been on his to-do list and it's happing now!

Oooo Yvonne i love it, its beautiful ❤️. I cant get anymore inspired Kenny would kill me. I have 2 farmhouse tables. He made the first one and i love it but it needed to be a little wider, i told him all he had to do was add on to that one, well i came in from work one day and he had made me a second table. So i have the first one in my shop and use it for a work table and the second one is in my kitchen, he told me to sell the first one. I of course said absolutely not, lol i wouldnt sell either one of them. Luckily we have a guy with a saw mill just about 4 houses down so it worked out great. I would love to find some beautiful legs for mine one day, he made them as well andit looks good but after seeing yours i can picture what mine would look like . I can't wait to see the hole house everything so far is just stunning. God bless.

Congratulations on your masterpiece ! Didn’t know your Dad did carpenter work. It is a wonderful thing to grow up with the smell of freshly cut wood and sawdust… my Dad was Contractor, how I wish he had taught me to use all his tools.. but back in the early 70’s it was not a “girl thing” to do.
Yvonne.. you must have shed a tear when you saw it done and chairs up to it ! It is truly gorgeous… everything about it…stunning ! I can feel your joy ! 🥰

Oh my goodness, Chris!! You did an amazing job on the table. It is absolutely stunning! I have a table that my Grandpa made. He cut the trees, milled the lumber, and built the table. He made it from leftover cuts from tongue and groove flooring He made for a customer. With 9 kids ages newborn to 18, they needed a large table. Only one bench survived, but I have old chairs around it. He never put stain on the top, so I used some Howard's to protect it, yet still see his pencil marks. It truly is a family treasure. And Yvonne, the look on your face says it all. I can tell just how much you love it. Mine is the perfect length for a knit twin sheet. I used the fitted one on the bottom and the top sheet on top. Enjoy the table and all of the memories made around it!

When I retired in 2018, my boss gave me a planer as a retirement gift! I will never forget the first time I used it! I wanted to plane everything!! My son and I made a sofa table from an old sewing machine base and some walnut that we had. I also made a charcuterie board and a cheese board out of the walnut scraps. So much fun!!

Oh yeah, that was my pick, hands down, from the first look at the cans. It brings out all the best “yummies”(your word). I absolutely love this table. Chris may not have been a total expert but boy, he did best job ever! It’s prefect for that house. 😊❤ he needs lots of hugs. My youngest daughter wants a farm table with a bench on one side.

Love the table, it is beautiful. My husband made me a farmhouse table it’s 7 ft. Long. The wood came from is mom and dads old house that we tore down. The wood is around 120 years old. This winter he is going to make our son and daughter-in-law a 10 foot table. They have the room and the kids. Can’t wait to see that one done. Great job Chris.

I love your table ! It's beautiful. A few years before my husbànd passed, I showed him a harvest table in a magazine and said I'd love one like this. The next day he called me out to the garage and said is this big enough? Just scrape wood. I drew the legs and have enjoyed it ever since. If the picture comes through, he made the big pantry hutch behind it plus many more pieces.

Chris made a wonderful job of making the table and your choice of stain and finish is perfect we have a farmhouse table bought in the 80s which was originally polyurethane varnished but now stripped and polished and I love the stories it tells of it being used by the family over the years 😊❤

Our prior dining room was small so a round table was about the only option. We couldn't even use the insert. Our new house, however, is much different. I have the insert in the table now but it still doesn't work right. We need a long table…like yours! It's on my to-do list to make one though!
