I've been looking for the review of this case (non-RGB version) but only found one review in German. I'm so glad that you reviewed this case! Although I'm interested in its non-RGB version since it comes with mesh side panels instead of glass side panels, your review is very informative as both versions are otherwise same.
Oh nice, finally someone that acknowledges this case exists, I'm not actually interested in buying it because it's a bit too large for my taste, but it's definitely one of the most interesting I've seen in a while. I like the perforated PSU shroud in particular, I feel like some cases choke HDDs with the closed shroud and that's something raraly taken into account in case reviews.
It’s a great case isn’t it ? I try to get them all the time. Haven’t had much success so far. Thanks to Kitguru for trying to highlight their great products.
Great work as usual. Good comment about the lack of white cables and fans. I was also disappointed to see no rubber grommets. Contrariwise I do like the inclusion of the piezo speaker - they're so easy to break - and the separated packaging of the screws. I do hate grubbing through a packet of screws. You decided to not install the rear inner panel; how does a fully built system look from the rear with and without the panel installed? With regards to having a fan behind the motherboard, some ITX motherboards have M.2 slots on the back which would benefit from cooling. I wonder if any mATX and ATX boards do? I doubt anyone will put an ITX board in this case, though!
Pity you didn't have a white GPU. :-) My favourite online PC store offers the black version as an "Outlet" item (for 79.90 EUR/68.55 £), meaning cheaper because returned by the previous buyer. The audio connection at the top is defective, it says, but I have never ever used that anyway. Although I don't need a PC case at the moment, I might buy that case. Good review.
Think the black fan chassis at the rear of the case should have been white to match the colour. The ones behind the front bezel dont matter that much but for sure the one at the rear does.
Great video, I'm in love with the case. I've got one question: is it compatible with the MSI Project Zero Motherboards like the B650M PROJECT ZERO or the B760M PROJECT ZERO? I really want a one of those motherboards and, by the looks of your video, they may be compatible (the holes in the backplate line up correctly). I'd be really thankful if you could answer me.
Yeah me and my wife watch them on the tv. Wouldn’t be a Leo video without some serious metal slappage on the desk. He always looks so annoyed. It’s class.
Dont understand how they managed to make such a hash in getting that top bit out. For sure need to the updated design hopefully it simplifies it a bit.
Having a cut out for the fan for the other side of the motherboard tray is long overdue as CPUs really do need help from both sides. Wonder how much longer it will be before we see double sided fans on GPUs.
As I'm in the market for a new case, this will definitely give this some consideration. But also, will look more in the PSU, as its time for an upgrade.
Main question for me is if it is possible to mount a 360 radiator on the sidepanel simultaneously with a 360 radiator on top would be great for a custom loop. If anybody knows please tell me
I have two AIO cooled PCs though the rads are mounted horizontally in the Top of the cases. I was told it was good practice and safer if vertically mounting the rad to have the hose exit at the bottom of the rad (upside down to your installation) so any long term air chamber (through evap or whatever) did not develop where the hose outlets would be situated and cause a possible fluid starvation. Is that a real issue?
The main issue to avoid is that you don't want the pump (typically on the CPU block) at the highest point of the loop. Typically that would mean don't install an AIO horizontally in the floor of the case. Most other configurations are fine and the installation guide for your AIO will always include information about permitted orientations. Leo
I could live with the black case cables. You can hide them well enough. But black fans in white case? I would accept that in 50$ case I intend to upgrade anyway. But 120$? Anyway I kind of hate how almost every case now has extra 5cm on top for AiO. I'm a fan of air cooling and my shelf size is what it is. That wasted space makes me sad. Not my case.
Possible plan for this case: 360 aio on top as exhaust; move all 120 fans as intake on the side; install 3 140 fans as intake on the front. Would it make any sense? In my current case with a normal air cooler I noticed that the top fans are completely useless, my fear is that the 4 120 on the side would have the same story here.. Or maybe not because their proximity to the front could create an additive affect (worst case scenario they could all be set at 40% and still provide massive intake). Any thoughts on this? Because if the plan makes no sense then I'll be better off with a 216 or even the cougar that you recently reviewed (they both seem to have better stock airflow)
Does anyone know of a case similar to the Corsair Air 540? I want to build a new PC but I can't seem to find a similar case with no RGB or glass side panels. Just mesh would be nice. Needs to bea cube case so I can put an AMP ontop.
The non-RGB version of this case (Rebel C50 Black/White) has mesh side panels, making it a case with four mesh panels (top, front, left, and right). Although it differs from Air 540 in that it's not a dual-chamber case, it satisfies your other requirements: no RGB, no glass side panels and just mesh.
Great review but given the obvious design omissions and peculiarities that top mounted fan / aio bracket abd rear hdd mount are a mess , and the price premium for white versions , sorry sharkoon you wont be getting my hard earned this time
For those asking, we found the Rebel C50 RGB on Amazon for approx £120: www.amazon.co.uk/Sharkoon-Rebel-C50-White-RGB-ATX/dp/B0C3XKDK2W

You know you are going to get a decent going over the product with Leo even though he's going to beat up what he's taking apart.
Good test of build quality with angry Leo on the case.
I like Sharkoon. Would have bought a lot of their bits and pieces over the years if I could find someone in the uk who stocked them
We are working on it! 🤩

Amazing to see how these things are put together thank you.
Thanks for the in-depth review, Leo!

Nice that more and more manufacturers are putting perforated panels on the back panel as the airflow is way better.

Very funny watching frustration while taking apart that case.
I miss cases that made provision for a CD or a bluray drive.
The man who single handedly slaps more bits of Hardware on a desk than anyone else I know 😮
lol 😂
😂 it's not a Leo video without some aggressive hardware placement
Yeah me and my wife watch them on the tv. Wouldn’t be a Leo video without some serious metal slappage on the desk. He always looks so annoyed. It’s class.
Lovely chassis. Good job from sharkoon.
for those in asia and cant but this case.. you might wanna check the darkflash dlx4000.. looks exactly like this
Can’t find the sharkoon anywhere. I’ll keep my eye out for the dark flash.
Also available, where I live, with a mesh side panel, instead a tempered glass one. Always wondered what the benefit might be for those mesh panels.
That top fan rack is going to make it very difficult to do any dust maintenence the way it is currently implemented.
Great work, nice case :)
Does the case have a type-c header or does it have a type-c male connector for it's front i/o?
Hi ! Am i able to mount the 3 preinstalled rgb fans on the bottom ? I would like to mount more 140 MM on the front instead, best regards !

Can you only change the RGB lightning of the fans but not the speed in hardware mod?
nice little build
I watched this review as well as reviews for the new APNX C1 and it is safe to say that they are the same case. Only the APNX C1 is better overall.
Have you checked the price of the APNX C1? Anyway the H6 Flow, the NV7 or the 216 beat both.
If I place the liquid cooling where you placed it, then can I place fans on top?
So pretty with RGB.
As I'm in the market for a new case, this will definitely give this some consideration. But also, will look more in the PSU, as its time for an upgrade.
Can you find them for sale anywhere ? Can never find sharkoon anywhere
@@iamahappybunny7640 We are currently getting prepared to be featured a bit more prominentely in the UK, so keep your eyes peeled for upcoming sales!
Nice job Leo. Looks like they put a bit of thought into this. Can sadly never find any of their hardware to buy online so ….
Yeah I gave up looking 😢
we found this one on Amazon for approx £120: www.amazon.co.uk/Sharkoon-Rebel-C50-White-RGB-ATX/dp/B0C3XKDK2W@@canarychrome7012
We hope to change that very soon!
That’s sotel. Not Amazon. Don’t buy from them. Nightmare !

Nice wee build that ❤
good review thanks Leo
The love child of a deepcool case and a corsair case. :)
If the non-rgb case still comes with the controller because you expect me to add my own (rgb) fans, i feel like just dont include any fans then.
my case came without fan rgb hub, what can i use instead?
Thanks for review

Nice looking design overall. Never seen them for sale anywhere however 😢

Probably been asked before but what does the name Sharkoon actually mean? Is it s reference to a shark and racoon hybrid animal?
No, actually it´s like a Sharknado, but less trashy!
Good case that. Can anyone point me to dealers ? Amazon says out of stock.

That sounds like it should work but the concerns you raise sound valid

Think a fan behind the motherboard is a good idea.

Lian Li 011 Dynamic Air mini is closest thing to what you said, it will do Atx build, or Micro Atx.
If you go with mATX, you should have a look at the Asus Prime AP201, which has a full mesh version in either black or white.
The non-RGB version of this case (Rebel C50 Black/White) has mesh side panels, making it a case with four mesh panels (top, front, left, and right). Good looking case this. Some nice curveballs you are throwing.
I love it. Can’t buy it 😮😢
Anywhere to buy these in the uk ?

Thanks !
Don’t buy from that link it’s sotel. Not Amazon. I had issues with them before. 😮
Pricing seems pretty average for what you get.
Great review but given the obvious design omissions and peculiarities that top mounted fan / aio bracket abd rear hdd mount are a mess , and the price premium for white versions , sorry sharkoon you wont be getting my hard earned this time
No LTT ratchet screwdriver used here then...
lucky for us all
its more like ,,for dust lover
Very clean design but still quite samey.
Not exactly a tool free case this one.
