I love the 737-700. If there was a perfect plane for Canada, I’m not certain I’ve seen it. Good efficiency (for its time), perfect seating number to ensure full flights, extremely robust everything on the plane, easy to train on and fly. And can land at most airports. That being said I’ll miss the old 7Up livery if they’re changing all the fleet.
It's not a huge difference, but I like the added partial maple leaf. The design angles on the old tail livery made it almost appear broken and this is a bit more coherent overall.

Westjet Airlines has the Coolest Best New Livery right After Air Canada I hope to fly them in there New Liveries soon Also Porter Airlines is flying to The USA From Toronto,Canada then is onwards to Mexico and The Caribbean afterwards maybe for 2025 or from late 2024 but we'll wait and see what happens!!!!
Livery is great. Took that 700 to Gatwick from Halifax. Westjet has to call off the eastern retreat. The two carriers have retreated from competing. They have just divided up turf and essentially collude on fares. Airlines are federally regulated but you would never know it as a consumer.
Airlines in Canada are only federally regulated on operational matters involving safety etc. Regulation on commercial issues like fares and routes ended over 30 years ago. They're free to fly where they want and charge what they want, same as in the U.S. and most other countries.
There is already a WestJet Link Saab 340 with the new livery (C-GOIA). And I hope they paint their Qs in the new livery as well, they'll look so much better!
