today I'm gonna take you on a full day trip around Hannam Dong and Itaewon. Hannam Dong is one of the most expensive neighborhoods to live in in Korea- think of it like the Beverly Hills of Seoul. I pass by the Hannam the Hill complex which is famous for it's celebrity residents like BTS, try and fail to get a glimpse at some of the mansions in the area, and stroll around lively Itaewon at night. I also visited the research lab where Ultron was making vision in the avengers movie! (Saebit island)

Wow itaewon has changed so much. I lived in Korea before Kpop
Was a huge thing and itaewon was “foreigner” town aka “the ghetto” native Koreans used to look down at that area. Conflicts with the military at times didn’t make it better . It’s so funny to see how “cool” and hip it’s become

Just for more precise information, Hannam-dong is definitely a rich neighborhood but it's not the richest cause they do not only contain residential areas for riches like Apgujeong does. One of the reasons why several luxury villa complexes in Hannam-dong are more expensive than Apgujeong-dong apartment complexes is because they are relatively new compared to 40+-year-old apartment complexes in Apgujeong, and those villas' prices include the building's price while Apgujeong apartments are purely the price of the land itself. Apgujeong-dong only contains apartment complexes unlike any other dong-s in South Korea(they are all a mix of several commercial buildings along with apartment complexes), and it is actually the richest neighborhood in Korea and will be in the future too, probably. Apgujeong-dong has been under the plan for reconstruction for more than 10 years now, and if they finally get reconstructed, there definitely will be no other residential areas that are more expensive than Apgujeong apartments in Korea. Also, many rich people in Hannam probably would consider moving to the newly built apartment complexes in Apgujeong after the reconstruction, or they already do own a unit in Apgujeong. But, comparing the price per area, Apgujeong is definitely the most expensive land right now. The beautiful traditional Korean style is so hard find anymore!! The presents buildings are ugly in a charming hurts so good sort of way!! The Koreans love the neon lights and I suppose I do, as well!! I love Korea!!❤️❤️

Is Hannam-dong a richer neighborhood than Pyeongchang-dong? I'm getting different answers from my Korean friends so please tell me if you know.
I don’t really know. Hannam dong is one of the richest neighborhoods in Seoul, but I’m not familiar with rankings relative to other neighborhoods. Sorry!

Gangnam, Pyeongchang-dong and Hannam-dong are the “wealthiest” neighbourhoods in Korea, but Gangnam and Songpa-gu are the most expensive places to live.
Theres no a proper rank... in Songpa-gu an apartment can cost more than 30bi, but in Hannam-dong the prices are around less than 10bi...
The difference is: in Hannam there’s a mix of buildings and houses, in Songpa and Gangnam there are only buildings, and in Pyeongchang most of the place is made of houses.

@@itsme4026 Incorrect! Hannam dong itaewon, pyeongchang dong, and sungbok dong are way more expensive to live than song pa gu and gangnam. I actually live in Hannam the hill, which is the most expensive apartment complex in Korea. The most expensive houses in Hannam the hill costs around 80billion! Hannam the hill is very famous for numerous celebrities living here including BTS! Other parts of Seoul including Songpa are no match compared to Hannam dong. Houses in Itaewon in front of Hyatt hotel cost up to 300billion.

Itaewon is. Many people dont think it is because they haven't seen the real itaewon. There is a street in front of Hyatt Hotel in Itaewon where all the richest families in Korea live. Its called Itaewon eonduk gil (이태원 언덕길). House prices range up to 150 billion there.

What's the average price per sq ft in Seoul korea
places like banpo, apgujeong, cheongdahm are like 25~26million usd for a luxury new 1000sqft 3bedroom apt. Differs from place to place but 700~900thousand usd for a regular 1100sqft apt in average seoul neighborhood according to the recent real-estate article and expensive places like gangnam&seocho district are 17m usd average

There’s only one han river in South Korea! It’s one of the longest rivers so you can visit it from many different locations
