Silicon breast pumps have become very popular over the past few years. Here are my tricks for using it and the cautions of what can happen with over use.

What pump do you have and which size flanges?! Usually if the pump is painful the flange size is too big or the suction too strong. Consider watching my video on flange sizing
I’ve seen some people say you shouldn’t use the haaka as a main pump because it doesn’t get the hind milk, but I have a fairly low supply, my son is just now kinda getting the hang of latching at 3 weeks (I’ve been pumping and formula feeding up until now), so since you said it can make an oversupply would this help with getting my supply up along with breastfeeding?
Just now seeing your comment. I had my daughter on the 16th of this year. She is a breast fed baby and i ise this and it helps. Was wondering if you ever got your supply up
@@ghost_hunter9592 hi! No, I didn’t, the most I’ve gotten to this day is 4oz in one whole day. I’ve tried multiple pumps, different schedules, and supplements. After a while my son completely refused the breast so I kinda gave up 🤷🏻♀️
@@parisdejhonscott oh ok , that makes sense.. how did you work around that ? My Bebe takes too much sometimes and it’s like he stops breathing for a second .. scares me !!!

Yes! The more milk that is emptied the more milk the body can make. It’s not a true “pump” but can help pull off more milk. Consider taking my Pumped class at lalactation.teachable.com/p/pumped for more information and help.
Hello, I just bought the haakaa used it three times not for long because it was super painful but the next day my breast were full and I got mastitis. First time and I’m three months postpartum. Please help!
How often should I pump? I’m trying to feed my baby solely breast milk but from a bottle so I know how much she’s getting per feed and I can’t seem to get the balance right for pumping 😳

I need my supply back up... It's gone down very significantly....I need way way WAY more milk right now...only 2mo pp so idk, I don't understand what's happening...you just keep it there?? Don't keep squeezing it?? God I'm doing this wrong then 🤣😭😭 I hope this works for me because I severely need my supply back up ..he's eating like 5-8oz every feed and I'm lucky to get even an ounce so unfortunately have been needing formula ...I want I need to be strictly, exclusively breastfeeding
@@aylazaldana8378 really it did. Idk why I stopped using the thing. Especially while he's sleeping. Just pop it on when he gets on one side to fall back asleep with I'll wake up and there's a couple oz in there just from the let down alone. Get the real brand haakaa though. The cheaper ones like bumblebee suck tbh

It can definitely help when baby is latched if you leak

Engorged breasts
For me, it causes a forceful letdown. So when I breastfeed my baby chokes bc it’s squirting in his mouth.

The suction may have been too strong causing inflammation of the breast. See my video on mastitis for the best protocol to resolve it
