You guys are so cute with your comments of war back in early 2020... welcome to late 2020!
Big props to this dude for making such a unique style of music work by himself. This shit is gold, follow your passion dude!

Whelp, here we are again.
Perfect time for this song. 💔
Like some aspects of the musical compilation. The lyrics are very relevant though.
Came here from Bob Marley's version
Peace
I never thought this song would be this amazing in a rock version. Original still takes the cake.
2 years later and Grandsons songs are still relevant. #blacklivesmatter #BLM
Incredible cover of Bob Marley' song! So good👍
This song is getting relevant again
I like how people like my comment, meaning there are still people coming back to this song every now and then
@@isolde-998 We sadly come here at every new war
Its ALWAYS relevant
Can we just appreciate the picture on the screen 👍love it
Oh boy this is aged wonderfully
Even better now unfortunately
this is actually much more "my style" that i'd listen to than the original by Bob Marley. Great job!
Jah Rastafari! Nice marley cover!! 💚💛❤
Thank You, Grandson... Very Cool.
Listening to this the day before election night and wow am I feeling some sorta way.
L
The cover and the song itself sends a clear message
This song seems extremely relevant at the moment
Yeah, I'm preeeeetty sure it's based off of America's presidency at the moment.
Harley the Addict It is. It's a bit wrong-founded, though.
It's. Always. Relevant.
Also, the song was written by Bob Marley in the 60s apparently.
Nipe
This song has been relevant all along.
also, the lyrics y'all needed
Until the philosophy, which holds one race superior
And another
Inferior
Is finally
And permanently
Discredited and abandoned
And it's war in the east
War in the west
War up north
War down south
And it's war in the east
War in the west
War up north
War down south
Everywhere is war
It's a war
Oh, everywhere is war
It's a war
And until there's no longer
First and second class citizens of any nation
It's on
And until the color of a man's skin serves no more significance than the color of his eyes
We say war
And it's war in the east
War in the west
War up north
War down south
And it's war in the east
War in the west
War up north
And war down south
Everywhere is-
Oh, everywhere is war
(It's war!)
It's a war
(It's war!)
Oh, everywhere is war
(It's war!)
It's a war
Oh, everywhere is war
La, la, la, la, la, la, la (x2)
Everywhere is (x7)
Everywhere is war (x2)
"Then* it's war"
Yes, it's War by Bob Marley. No way that one's better than grandson's though.
thank you for this comment. This a cover, though well done and a great song. Not original.
Thank you so much ❤❤
@J C you my sir, got balls of steel. saying the truth among all these poeple who probably don't agree with the both of us.
who knew 2 years later this song would have so much more relevance. they warned us of what was coming and we didnt listen.
this is awesome holyyyy SHIT
This song may become even more relevant in the future. All I can hear in this song is President Trump's ignorant and terrifying message about the riots in Minneapolis: "When the looting starts, the shooting starts".
Ignorant? The law is predicated on violence. He knows that.
@Eggfriend Grow up and stop beliving every lie you hear from TV, truth is out there, you just need to actually research.
@@Rishi1Ishi2Moto You are the one who needs research if that is how you think. Just sayin sis....
@@jaygatsby4503 Wait so me saying that media lies (which is the most obvious thing ever) and telling others to grow up and do research for themselves is bad? You just walked into another layer of stupidity and i congratulate you sir on achieving something i personally couldnt.
It has become EVEN more relevant this year :') No matter which president is elected there's going to be death, coming from a trans gay dude who has a lot of poc friends, I'm scared
Dear grandson,
You, Depeche Mode, and Bohnes are the ones who inspired me to start making Alt/Indie music. Big thanks and Kudos to all 3 of y'all!
Grateful,
Kyomi
Keep going, I wanna see someday you in top charts
@@donut7454 Aw
@@donut7454 Yeah, but I'm a Christian Nu-metal musician. The chances of me topping the charts under these circumstances are very, very slim.
Was it relevant 5 months ago? now it's DEFINETLY relevant
F in chat for bob marley we love you man ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
Everyone is saying that this song is relevant *now* but honestly it has been just as relevant since it was written in the 70's. That's what's so messed up about it.
funny how relevant that song is now
War in the east: middle east Iran and Iraq war
War in the west: the divide of the United States right now
War up north: I assume conflicts in Canada over the BLM movement
War down south: our war on drugs and cartels
Everywhere is war.
...
True
He knew , he knew before any of us could ever imagine
Love it 🖤🖤🖤

If you join in these riots, your apart of the problem.

I’m fine with peaceful protests and I’m not blind to seeing that in some places, that’s what’s happening.
But most of these “Protests” involve destruction of property, the destruction of historical monuments, the death of police officers, etc
Most of these are not peaceful, and if you try to justify these, then your the problem.
@@zmanthepanda3255 radical pacifism has never changed anything.
@@mixedfootage8010 so what you are telling me is, you arent okay with black people being killed by police, and you believe that destruction is the answer. Yet the amount of harm the black community is doing to itself is achieving nothing
“He wanted a war to fight, but was not ready when it was those he looked down upon the most. The generation to stop the wrong, to end his evil. He’s getting a war and I hope he gets prepared” -My brother #blacklivesmatter we will keep fighting!
I just found out that this song was from Marley, himself was inspired by a speech of Hailé Sélassié (late ethiopian emperor) he delivered in the UN; hoping this information will serve ☺️
Oh, that's pretty cool actually
Grandson predicted 2020 prove me wrong
Bob Marley
Bob marley
The views on this song spiked with recent events. Let justice be done, though the heavens fall.
Guess we're back to this song again....
I listen to this Song after 8 Ah 64 Apache fly over my house in East Germany.
the sad truth is that this as well as many of other songs by grandson have always been relevant. these things have just been getting talked about more lately because we’re fed up with history repeating itself
why am i so late to this masterpiece wow
Am even more late
This is gonna be the WW3-Anthem
I have to give so much thanks to a person who made a video of a BL couple fmv with one of grandson's songs. Like, legit. I need to THANK them more than I have.
This is so relevant now
Everyone in the comments in 2020: this is extremely relevant.
Me: it will always be because there will never be world peace because there will always be war or one person or persons fighting each other no matter what until the very end.
Hallie Sallase, Bob Marley, Grandson. Words that need to be forever shared.
I just discovered them like a week ago and im so happy that i can hear more
jv parungao there s no "them", it s just a dude
If none of you guys knew, this is actually Bob Marley's song but Grandson's rendition. Both versions are really powerful however, I think you guys should listen to the original by Bob Marley's.
Tea?Drama? I'mThere.
Seeing people saying that grandson stole from Bob Marley
And they sound angry

I swear to god Grandson predicted the damn future-
2022 making me feel this again
God damnit grandson can't make a bad song
I've been listening to your songs for like 2 years and it's still so good!
This time its on our own ground. Stop the madness
