- The Fiat 1300 DT (Super) is a tractor produced by the Italian manufacturer Fiat Trattori from 1976 to 1980. Often referred to as the "giant", it was one of the largest and most powerful agricultural tractors of its time.
The tractor is equipped with a 6-cylinder OM-CP-3 engine of 130 hp (or 150hp for the super) and is already available with a low-noise cab. To prevent vibrations is the entire driver's platform placed on rubber blocks.
Difference between Fiat 1300 DT and 1300 DT Super:
- The front axle is different: the 1300dt has the thick reductions and the 1300dt super narrow.
- There is a difference in the mudguards and cabin.
- The chassis number of the 1300dt is stamped on the left side of the gearbox and with the 1300dt super on the right side of the gearbox.
- The engine number of the 1300dt is: OM CP3/100 VAR 16
- The engine number of the super is: OM CP3/100 VAR 17 or OM CP3/100 VAR 17.300 .
- The Fiat 1300dt super came with 2 types of regulators at the fuelpump (RQV and RPV regulator), the 1300dt only used 1 type of regulator.

what does "H" Fiat 1300 DTH mean?
The "H" stands for "heavy duty".
The version differs from the standard version due to the reinforced wheel gearboxes, making the tractor extremely suitable for heavy work.

My brother has a 750special , half the size of the giant but is miles ahead of most tractors of the same hp . He does all his paddock work with it .

Hi, from America (Pennsylvania), very cool/awesome video. I don't know much about Fiat tractor's. I grew up on the farm using John Deere's and one Farmall H.
I have only seen a few Fiat tractor's. I know around 40 years ago, White had a deal with Fiat to supply some Fiat models, which were painted and decaled as White tractor's. Some of them are very prized to own today. Since a small number were sold in North American.

I'm lucky enough to have recently acquired a 1300 DT 4x4 and intend to restore it, although it's a very good, straight tractor. If I can gently suggest that the operator in this video cover those bales to avoid the carbon sparks coming out of the exhaust (especially when starting and revving the engine) from setting light to those exposed bales.

Had a few 780 dt's the only fault i found was the cable controls needed keeping an eye on excellent iveco engines
The smaller 4wd models were well kept secret ,here in Wales they matched MF models for balance and there4 safe in the. right hands,they were also had sparkly engine and great gear ratios,the 4wd system did'nt sick the power out of the whole!!.Poor points were steering and brake wear ,which when worked hard needed to be serviced more often than MF or say Ford but of course Contractors worked them hard. The crawler versions not over common in UK,were I think were well thought of in the Fenlands?
