- Hi! This is the first of a few cruise vlogs from my solo trip on the Norwegian Gem! This is my third Norwegian cruise and second solo cruise! We had a great solo cruise director who planned so many activities and dinners for the solo group. I became famous on this ship really fast for a few different reasons haha- but my tip is to SAY YES TO EVERYTHING :)
You are so much fun to watch! I’ll be on the Gem soon departing from Italy as a solo cruiser too. You have inspired me to go out there and enjoy the activities. Thank you for sharing.

Air tags - put one in all your luggage, even carry ons. My suitcase with all my shoes was left (at the screening area) in Vancouver port and they kept saying it will come. Ah, the ship was leaving in 30 minutes, and I showed them on my phone that it was not on the ship. They went and got it. Lucky because I would have been wearing florida shoes in alaska!

@@ShannonMMiller On our last cruise they misplaced that same piece of luggage by putting it in the wrong color zone at debarkation. I was able to use Find My app to locate exactly where it was in the sea of luggage. So, twice they have saved me.
I didn’t realize this was for solo travel! I have considered this myself.

Thanks for sharing - I was also a solo on this same cruise and remember seeing you at some of the solo events with Wilson, just before he would take a lot of us down to "deeener"! You can see me in a deckchair at about 11:00 during the scavenger hunt, and again at around 16:00 across the room at movie trivia. I think the stuntman guy you're talking about was "Spencer". I got to hear some of his stories during the week too.
I think we all had a great time thanks to NCL's attention to it's solos and singles on this cruise.

Would you recommend solo cruising for a young woman who wants to get away? Or is it dangerous/ will look weird?
Not weird at all! I met so many people that I probably wouldn’t have if I came with people. And it’s so much easier solo- you can really do whatever you want! Also I felt completely safe- that’s what I love about cruising!

The retired people had more energy than me!! They were in the clubs til 3AM and I was sleeping any chance I could 😂
