Back then he was doing things that were for me truly amazing. Just to give you a glimpse of what I am talking about, George Best said that Ronaldo’s debut for ManU was the best debut he had ever seen. He was only 18 years old at that time. George Best also said there have been many players that have been compared to me, but this is the first time that its a complement. As amazing as he was, I never thought that he would have the longevity that he has had. He went on to Real Madrid and became even bigger. For me there is no question that he is the goat. I have no problem if someone else believes that Messi is the goat, or Maradona or Pele. These are all great players, but in my mind Ronaldo is above them all.My only problem is when other fans want to degrade Ronaldo to elevate their player. I myself have no problem if someone believes Messi is the goat. Thats great. But they should respect who I prefer also.
