thank you. i have some clarification 1.if log file deleted or missed then can we restore our db with tail log 2.if db went to offline then can we can take tail log through sql commands. 3. if huge transaction happened after last t-log then can we take tail log and restore db
We cannot restore with one tail log because there will be LSN chain break for the lost log backup We cannot take backup if db is offline. Yes we can restore that huge trxn using tail log
Sir, i have one doubt in many environments full backup gets maintained on magnetic tapes then in that case how can we manage to get the backup file coz in order to do this activity physical backup is required on drive then what will be the procedure
