- A Lonestar Guide for Fishing Planet! Let's get started! Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 should be heading to Lonestar Lake for Bluegill and Sunfish, Crappie and Spotted Bass! At level 3, purchase the 2 rod case, and a spinning rod to chase after bass with casting spoons. Then, save up money to head to Mudwater River!

i shiver when i see lonestar, i didn't know what to do when i first started and was stuck in lone star for 25 levels cause i kept wasting money and couldn't move onto another lake

I’ve been literally going through some changes lately.. deleted apex legends and warzone from my console and looked for something I would actually enjoy for once. Something that doesn’t require me to devote my life to it in order to have fun.. found this game in the playstore and can’t wait to try it.

if their is any one still watching these i would say go to rocky lake and use a size 2 hook with may flies to catch golden trout there a 1$ an ounce. go to side of the water fall into the the middle of the lake and cast about 75 feet out hope you have good luck my information was helpfull and fish nere at the bottom

I am a fisherman IRL, and i giggled when you said #8 was a very small hook. To fish for those kind of fish IRL i usually use #20/#18 hooks, #8 i for bobberfishing for trout or bottomfishing for catfish and carp. But maybe in-game hooks dont get to #20?
Yeah, I'm not sure how small the get in game, maybe #14? You won't be using much under #1 for a good majority of the game. Even the largest of the small species usually go for something like that, so theres no use using anything smaller.
I was looking at my panfish hooks and they said #8 on the package, but when I was fishing in the UK, I was using #14 for Roach & Rudd. We have lots of IRL fishing videos - and even an entirely separate outdoor channel if you're interested!

I remember that- I’m not really sure, they’ll both work at that low of a level until it’s time to move to Emerald and buy a larger rod/reel combo

Im level 16 currently and im still in lone star lake. I'm just takin all the spotted bass bro. Time skip is free, free extension day, i alr got the prem license, it's perfect. But i do think I'll have to go out soon cuz the income outcome ratio when talking about better gears is going to be worse and worse
Beau... I see you doing your thing... And I'd never knock your channel as I have learned a lot from your vids. Seeing I am only a 43 I'm sure you know way more then I.... Something I never see is I don't care what presentation it is .... Each lure has an ORO optimum range of operations. So let's use a casting spoon as an example would i twitch it near the top stop and go it in the middle or lift and drop it on the bottom. How does a new player asses what is not so important the best presentation but where to present it. How does one learn this.... At level 43 I have a theory on this... I'm curious as to your answer
Yeah, I’ve heard things about the atmospheric pressure gauge on the weather screen which can key you in on whether the fish are on the bottom or close to the top.
But- as far as retrieves, lures usually have a recommended way of retrieving them, though you can always change it up. Like spinner baits… I’ve never twitched a spinner bait in real life, but it works well in fishing planet.
You should’ve bought the brown bass jig you can catch so many bass with it

So I’m playing on mobile and no matter what I do or buy, when I try to set up my rod and reels it ALWAYS says must install “terminal tackle” first.. none of my rods and reel combos will let me use minnows or shiners without a bobber/floater…. Any ideas? Also, when using spinning bait, is it supposed to be top of water level or low? Also what do the 3 dots mean when using spinning bait? Like when it says “twitching” or “slow and straight” or is it better to have no dots ?

Uhm, how did you reset your progress? I swear the only reason I don't play this game anymore is because I forgot how to play and what I am doing, I don't want to jump in at lv 30+ and waste gear/money etc. I just want to start fresh x3

I personally think Fishing Planet is the best fishing game currently on steam. If you’re looking for something more realistic, check out Russian Fishing 4. Eventually Call of the Wild: the angler will catch up, but for now it’s got a ways to go.

I just started playing last weekend, but can't figure out how you set up the game so others can create a profile. I shouldn't have to purchase the game again for a different person to play. Other than that, I love the game. Huge learning curve on what to use, but your videos have helped me a lot. The Rod set up you had greatly helped me understand how to get a balanced rig. :)
Good deal! The game is free, so someone with a different profile- either on your console or steam profile on PC should be able to have a different game just by switching profiles outside of fishing planet.

Hello. How do you tighten the line once you have cast to stop it from drooping down into the water ? I've tried reeling in a bit of line, but it just goes loose again. Thx!
May need some more information- drooping down in the water? Like reeling it in and keeping it in the center of the water column or what?
@BoAngles , there is no tension in the line from the tip of the rod down to the float. When I cast out, there is just an excess amount of line down in the water. Is this correct ? When I try and reel some line in, it just pulls more out. It looks wrong to me, though not a fishermen IRL. Thx.
@@steholden1975 is the arrow in the bottom corner pointed up or down? That is your speed you’re reeling, so if the arrow is pointing down, you let line out instead of pulling it in
@@BoAnglesthx for the response, but it is clear you are not sure what I am referring to. My question has nothing to do with the speed indicator for reeling in.
@@steholden1975 you had mentioned that when you try to reel some line in, it pulls more out. This is an indication that you have the retrieval speed set to let line out, because there is no other way to let line out in the game.
Hey bzhub! Quick question. How can I reset my account on fishing planet? Is it possible to contact the owner? I’m lvl 19 with only a few hundred dollars. I completely messed up. I told you on one of the last streams that I was going to go to Everglades and I completely spent all my money going there.
It basically requires you to create an entirely new Steam account. They don't reset it, they're a complete nuisance to work with. My best advice is to take a weekend and go back to lonestar, make some money, move to mudwater if necessary, then move to Emerald for walleye, and just go through the beginner lakes again to make your money back and save your account.

@@BoAngles Glad you clarified for me. Lol. I tried your method for a little while but quickly found myself using the other method since it's easier to keep at 3 dots. Only difference I can tell is that your method keeps the tackle on the bottom longer in the shallower waters.
@@GrumpyGillsFishing yes, sometimes with the rod up and twitching by reeling can sink the lure to the bottom too quickly. That’s when you can switch to reeling and twitching by raising the rod, which keeps the lure from sinking too much and still twitches.

I’m thinking about doing a challenge video putting the in game rigs to the test irl by target fishing for certain species based off the information the game gives me. One thing I noticed is that when I cut line for my reel . I seem to have alot more in my home.. every time I cut line does it add up to more .
The reel only allows for so much line, if you have more line than wha the reel allows, the remainder will go in your home inventory or backpack depending upon where you’re equipping it.

Sell by skipping to the next day or returning to world map. Level is on the top right of menu
