Esperanto USA will have the book sooner than Amazon. We (the Esperanto Association of Britain) are about to send a good number of our own stock across the Pond so that our American friends can get their hands on the book without having to wait for Amazon.
I've got the book and at the end of chapter 3. There are parts of esperanto that I thought I knew well enough but the book helps me to be sure that I do. I just can't wait to complete the whole book - even if end up being a level B1, the book says it can help you reach B2. Or even if I end up being a strong A2 then I'd be happy with that as well.
I really enjoyed your review. I ordered the book from Amazon and it should arrive in another day or so. I see that this video is 2 year old, but as you can see, still very useful video. I subscribed.
On library.teachyourself.com, you can listen to the audio files without charge. Somebody on Amazon has commented that you can download a free copy of the book, but I failed to find out how. At the end, I purchased one. I think it is worth the money.
@@amuzulo No joke. Most of the books about Esperanto in my language was written before two or three grammar reforms so they are all basically really confusing because you need to learn to languages just to learn the one
Would I be correct in saying that this is an update to the older teach yourself esperanto book? I also got this book on order from Amazon.co.uk. Can't wait to get it.
AvidTeaDrinker63 # Not really. This book was completely rewritten using modern methods. Pretty much the only thing it has in common with the old book is that they're both by the same publisher. Enjoy the book! :)
That book has activities and introduces vocabulary? I've used the teach yourself series for several languages and I found them to be terrible for actually teaching yourself because the ones I've used were purely grammar based. There were a few practice activities but they expected you to look up the vocab yourself in the glossary. Just terrible.
Great, can the audio be downloaded? I don't want to keep going online, just to listen to the audio. Edit: It has been almost 10 years, since I studied Esperanto, but I would like to see if this book, would be a great gift.
Complete Esperanto Nun la sonoj de la programo haveblas. Edit: An app is needed to use the audio offline. There has been some trouble with the Teach Yourself app from some of the reviewers. That is a terrible headache to go through. The audio should be just downloadable, as an MP3, just like the Colloquial series and Hippocrene Beginners' series instead of all the restrictions of being able to use the audio offline with only the three apps. Especially since Teach Yourself has increased the price of their books compared to the cheaper book and two cds before with equivalent information. Hippocrene is the only company that offers their audio to be downloaded for free with no app needed, that lowered down the price of their books. Colloquial raised the price of their books, and so did Teach Yourself.
The audio is available to download here: library.teachyourself.com/id004325475/Complete-Esperanto Here's the story of the audio, including a couple of samples: completeesperanto.uk/articles/run-up-to-launch/a-franco-hungarian-a-slovak-and-a-malagassy-walk-into-a-bar/
Mi dirus nur ĝis B1/B2-nivelo. Tamen, mi tute ne konas alian profesian lernolibron de Esperanto en la angla... mi delonge serĉadis kaj ankaŭ aliaj homoj ne sukcesis trovi ion tian! Pri 300-nivela libro, mi tamen rekomendus Being Colloquial in Esperanto aŭ la Plena Manlibro de Esperanta Gramatiko. :)

E-USA is shifting their distribution to Amazon to improve discoverability
We across the pond, thank you very much!! :)
I have a copy of this book. It is indeed a beauty. I am even learning new words from it like "gufujo" and "Kimrio".

Nice, I hope you keep enjoying it!!
I'm most excited by the fact that it follows the new "Teach Yourself" format and size. It won't mess up my carefully arranged bookshelf.
Thank you so much for your review 😊😍🌹🌹
No problem. :)

Thanks for giving a preview of the book! It is not available in the USA until December according to Amazon. But I plan on purchasing it.
Just in time to buy them as Christmas gifts for all of your friends and family! :-D

Finally a TYE book published after the 1940's
Yeah, it's awesome how modern it is!!

I preordered on amazon. Yesterday amazon said it would be shipped by feb 19
Thanks for the review, doubly useful since Amazon doesn't offer a preview!
Thank you so much for sharing! This sneak peek is amazing.
You're welcome, glad to hear you enjoyed it! :)
Mojose! Mankis tia lernolibro moderna, bonkvalita kaj enhavoriĉa. Ĝi espereble altigos la amplekson kaj lingvan nivelon de la parolantaro.
Mi senpacience atendas tiun libron!
Nice! Good review. I‘m very excited about this book‘s release. I may also do a video about it to help spread the word.
gratz gonna finish french then I might pick it up

It's a good thing to have a lot of books in esperanto, but there is still one problem : almost no people speak it vocally on the net.

I have the old TY Esperanto by J.C. Wells and also the audiotape. I want to know if this new one has audio?
Yes, there is audio and it's all online!

Damn the kindle version is more expensive than a physical copy :/ that's a shame..
