@steven LUFC he should have implemented better tactics rather than the grab after the ref broke it up multiple times but that is the ingle way lol. I thought he just edged it in more rounds but you can see why he didn't get the W. Points deduction would have been harsh especially with the way Josh was coming forward. I don't think Josh will get a decision like that in championship match ups.
@steven LUFC rare to see points deducted for it though, Klit made a career from it with the jab and grab which people like Pulev try to emulate. But yeah he should have just fought on the inside rather go for the grab all the time, dirty and scrappy and doesn't make for a good fight.

Because they started watching boxing in the Mayweather era where excessive holding was considered a positive tactic.
Watched it twice as I always do when there is a close bout ...very very difficult to score!...a draw would have been a fair result, Galahad didn't lose that ,just feel he done the cleaner work, but agree probably didn't do enough to win ,came to spoil and frustrate and at times made Warrington look a bit silly with his movements.

Scored this 7 rounds to 5 for Barry. Much slicker and landed the cleaner shots. Warrington caused the fight to be messy by running in and swinging, with his head down. The only options were to tie him up or move, both of which Kid did effectively.
It was similar to eubank jr vs groves. Made messy cos of the wild inside swinging

Watching Galahad’s performance last night took me back to the heady days of Johnny Nelson clinching his way to losses against Carlos DeLeon and James Warring.
The referee should have had the balls to deal with his excessive spoiling. If he’d taken points early then Galahad may have tried something other than ‘I’ll grab on for dear life as soon as he gets near me’.
A boxing round is scored on 4 points in descending order of importance: Clean punching, effective aggression, ring generalship and defence. Warrington landed more clean shots than Galahad whose only response was to tie him up, a move which isn’t actually a scoring move or even legal (though tolerated to varying degrees depending on the leniency of the referee).
Warrington’s aggression wasn’t particularly effective but Galahad’s was non-existent.
Ring generalship? Warrington was dictating where the fight was taking place by attempting to take the fight to Galahad. Galahad’s entire response was to illegally attempt to stop him from punching.
Defence? With Warrington marching in all night you might have expected Galahad to land more punches than he did. Anybody remember Galahad land any combinations? Galahad spent the whole fight tying up Warrington and still took more shots than Warrington did.
I don’t necessarily agree with the maxim that you have to rip a belt from a titleholder but if it stops people from trying to clinch their way to titles I’m all for it. There’s a reason people respect Willie a Pep and not Sammy ‘the clutch’ Agnott despite Agnotts win over him.

Thst commentary was so leaned towards Kid Galahad, it was slightly embarrassing. I wanted Kid to win but he didn't do enough to beat the champ at his hometown. He simply didn't put it on the line and take enough risks. Rematch, kid fights tougher and wins.

Amazing sportsmanship by kid Galahad. Josh is great to watch but Galahad made him miss throughout the whole fight - although Josh threw a lot of punches, very few landed. I gave it to Galahad. Would make a good rematch a few fights down the line.
