You have come a far way...I admire your strength and courage... Yes there are days when you are going to feel down but try to do some things to alleviate the thoughts (read, dance, phone/video calls family, going out, movies, etc.) Remember, you said you are now living an answered prayer as well. This will come to an end soon and I'm sure the rich experiences you would have gotten will prepare you for a better future.

Thank you 😊. If only I had the time to do the things I love/want that would have been great. Feel like I am on a hamster wheel. But again as you mentioned I am living in an answered prayer so I still have to be grateful. ❤️

I completely understand how you feel. I am an educator and I've been here for 4 months and I honestly can't wait for my contract to be up. I have made plans to leave soon after (not back to JA though). As a yardie, especially as a woman, feel free to reach to me.

Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate it especially since I'll be moving there soon. I am very close with my family, we go every where and do most things together so it bothers me that I'll have to leave them and wonder how I'll manage.

Not gonna lie not being able to see my family really sucks. But I think being able to video call really helps. I can’t imagine living here in a time when WhatsApp video call and FaceTime weren’t a thing. I don’t think I would have been able to manage. Some mornings I’m just on the phone doing my thing and my mom is just doing here thing while we are on a video call. Keeping each others company. I think that will help you as well when you get here.

I understand feeling STUCK. The mundane and routine to my day is a horrible feeling. I do the same thing everyday. ALT job is like that and I don’t like that it makes me feel that way either.

Incorporating people will come at the right time. I don’t think you should be too worried about that part especially when you are aware that it’s happening, so overtime at the right time it will fall into place.

You are so right about that. I need to learn to live in the present and stop constantly worrying about the future.

Thanks for sharing Shanda! I use to think like that, making space for things and people not yet in my life - but honestly, will there be a difference if you make space for them (husband and kids) at the time you have them in your life? At that time, they will be most important to you so why doubt you will make whatever adjustments are needed in your lifestyle. You can't cross the bridge until you get to it, so remind yourself that your are the type of person who will definitely get across. As for felling stuck - decide which direction you want to go and start taking the steps. Good Luck!

Thanks for sharing and expressing yourself and your situation.
I think right now in life lot of ppl are feeling stuck or a sense of uneasiness cuz lot of things are happening around the world as a whole.
For myself I can say on paper and financially I have e improved but career wise or skill wise I felt stuck.
I felt majority of my background was customer service from regular to management level.
    What action did I take?
I decided to sit and reflect on what my faults or limitations were and decided to go to college and earn a degree and try gaining a skill to help me for the future.
Sure I feel anxious but after writing down the pros and cons I was left with more pros.

For you I think learning japense will only help improve your options for different career paths.
Explore and see what you’d like to do and financially does it offer more stability or opportunities.
    -
Wishing you the best along your journey.
Also lot of ppl are feeling stuck right now.. make sure you have circle of friends to express yourself or journal to write out your thoughts

Change up your scenery when making videos. Be doing other things or just a different background.
