Aw this is awesome, I'm honored to have Alchemical vampires here in the story :D Am the author ^^ Love how you mentioned them, thanks so much for giving me a chance to share my crafted lore! It was a lot of fun writing lore in a scientific-paper format.
This was highly enjoyable and felt like I'd encountered a delightful bard in one of the inns, who was generous enough to pass the time regaling his audience with tales of his fascinating travels and encounters.
This was really fun! I have a backstory for my viera similar to the first person's which was surprisingly validating! Sometimes you feel like you're coming up with an overly silly or angsty idea but then you see someone else doing it too and remember why you like it or what's fun about it. I hope you do more of these videos in the future. :)
Very much enjoyed this dive into FFXIV's roleplaying side, which I'm most definitely a part of myself, and highly enjoyed the format here, and hope there's more vids like this in the future. One thing to mention when it comes to the lore side of things is that with the social contract that is roleplaying; one is expected to adapt their stories to an extent to match another's to fit whatever narrative they agree upon. If it doesn't quite fit in precisely with the story as presented in game, such as some characters knowing important NPCs, most folk are willing to give leeway on such things and adjust on the fly. I for one have multiple different "versions" of my WoLs that I pick and choose from depending upon the situation. One where she's the WoL, one where she's a random adventurer, one where she was found by the Garleans at a young age, etc etc. Though I suppose it is also rather difficult to ascertain such and potential... "Lore bumps?" "Lore brushes?" From a single story that you've gone through on your own down time.
Love how this was presented. In free act, it’s given me motivation to add more to my character. Hope to hear more submissions and how they touch on a variety of topics.
Having recently returned to FFXIV: I too have a mild backstory for my character. While his adventures have barely begun in FFXIV: mayhap sharing his story could be interesting.
All these stories were absolutely delightful! Thank you for the review section at the end, it's made me more confident about submitting and which of my characters to submit, I just hope the fact that I write rather than roleplay wont be a problem 😅
I adored this first foray into the Roleplay stories a lot! The only thing I would consider looking into is, perhaps, describing the story as an observer, then explaining as a lore fan for one story, then transitioning into the next story. That way the story is still fresh in the audience's memory when it comes to review time. That said, the original format is not a turn-off by any means! Other than that, I greatly look forward to seeing more of these episodes! Cheers!
I like hearing other peoples ideas and stories for the WoL. I personally see mine as an Ishgardian noble who is fascinated by the Far East and the cultures to the point of being a Samurai over a Dragoon. It also ties into the Samurai job quest by having Musosai teach my WoL at a younger age and being reunited at the start of the SAM questline
I definitely enjoyed listening along to these stories and am excited to hear more. People get real creative and every character makes the world feel more lived in. As a role player myself, I LOVED the fact that you read these stories through Scribe's lens--in character and out. Feels unique! I'm already brainstorming my own submission 😂I don't think my characters have super compelling lives per se but this reminds and comforts me for that they don't have to be completely fantastical to be intriguing. Keep up the great work! 💕
I enjoy hearing these a lot more than I expected, makes me want to make a submission of my own. I don't really roleplay in the game, but I do like to ponder my WoLs place in the world and headcanon things
I want to be able to submit my story but i still haven't finished figuring his story out. Although your video on miqo'te lore helped out a lot with him being a keeper of the moon clan
Watching this i'm realizing that I should have really restructured my submission for this... maybe i'll do that later tonight if it's at all possible to do so at this point
Welp, while the drabble I submitted will be fine, I'll probably never submit Talaani's actual backstory given that she's a Planeswalker I've created from MTG. While not hard to justify her existance one way its a bit harder the other way round, though we have alien dragons so who's to say
Personally I think its cool to include canon characters in works featuring your original characters. You just have to Also Acknowledge that they won’t necessarily mesh with OTHER peoples’ stories and you’ll both have to compromise on that sort of thing if you want to write with them.
Generally I find this game’s lore very interesting but it’s important to never forget that when we write stuff it’s for fun. If your group wants to bend the rules a little, go for it. If they want to adhere more rigidly, then do so. Know how to adapt. Yknow?
Got to say, telling these stories as something you've personally come across in your own travels, I really love that format. I'm looking forward to hear some more tales in the future.
I am not a role-player really but FFXIV is the first game I have ever written a backstory for each character, literally in notepad. This game in particular just makes me want to. I even change it when I use a Fantasia lol.
I really respect how people were able to craft backgrounds for their characters within cannon lore reach. Its inspiring to be honest But im self indulgent to fault. My catboy lore background is just me try to remake my main character from my webcomic that aint related to FFXIV but rather is inspired by it as well as kingdom hearts and other jrpg games XD.
Not fond of the idea that something can't be inspired by something in real life. Which is basically the entirety of the Azim Steppe and the xaela tribes.
Odd question: Is there lore about the Fantasia potions? Huckleberry Saloon is a great place to drink, its very legal and there's never a lalafell fight club.
How do cross-over events tie into the lore? The Monster Hunter thing is plausible, allowing my lalafell to grow up on a south seas island populated by Felynes.
This is excellent! I didn't post a submission initially because I wasn't sure what you were looking for in terms of stories, but I now see that what I wished to submit fits squarely within what's been presented already. Thank you so much for this, and I hope my submission(s) might make it into one of your future videos.
My WoL was mentioned! Grorin would be proud to be mentioned by the Scribe himself!
Grorin’s story was my favorite!

community engagement AND a little of the scribe himself? you spoil us✨
I can't wait to see the continuation of this series! There was lot of awesome submissions in the Dropbox channel
It's all true I tell ya! It all really happened! Thank you for including our humble little saloon in your video
This was highly enjoyable and felt like I'd encountered a delightful bard in one of the inns, who was generous enough to pass the time regaling his audience with tales of his fascinating travels and encounters.
Gonna be honest, i misread the thumbnail as "Garlean Cowboy Vampires" and i was really curious as to how that happened, let alone at least twice
I definitely love you adding these stories to your videos and even more love that you put your twist to them.
this looks... like a really cool and unique video love it scribe

This community lore is outstanding! Really adds a layer of depth.
(Hope it's as fun for you as it is for us to hear the stories.)
This was awesome. This actually inspired me to give this a try.
I mean, it's Thancred. I can see him having besties everywhere.
Having recently returned to FFXIV: I too have a mild backstory for my character. While his adventures have barely begun in FFXIV: mayhap sharing his story could be interesting.
Nice diversity of story formats well blended together through your in-charecter narration
All these stories were absolutely delightful! Thank you for the review section at the end, it's made me more confident about submitting and which of my characters to submit, I just hope the fact that I write rather than roleplay wont be a problem 😅
Looks like i have something to motivate my character lore for rp. Would love to hear more of these even if my character doesnt make the list!
love this, hope it becomes a full series!

as someone who has a vampire WoL....Probably incorporating that into my lore somehow aswell.
Wooooo! I have been so hyped for this!❤🎉
Wow that was fast! I've gotta get on mine!

Im late but heavy approval of this, I've always wanted to get into stories like these or write my own
the Vampire story makes me feel validated, as I RP a sort of Vampire
I love this idea of yours! Thanks to everyone who submits their tales to the scribe!
That was a great idea !
I dunno how we can send you the story or how you select them but I would love to see more of it :D
I have a folder on my Discord that people can leave their stories for me! Links in the description.
Absolutely adore this!!! Hoping these keep up and definitely sharing it! Well done Mr. Scribe.
im realy happy about this series. surely i will try to write down my own. roleplay in ff14 is more or less my whole life :D
I'm so excited for this series XD. Though, my own WoL is not really as lore friendly so I don't know if I can join in.
This was well done and liked the mix
I enjoy hearing these a lot more than I expected, makes me want to make a submission of my own. I don't really roleplay in the game, but I do like to ponder my WoLs place in the world and headcanon things
Loved hearing all of them. Nice work to all
These were very good! I like it a lot and hearing other WoL stories.
I need to send him my character's story... I like to think he'd like it.
We need a campfire for stories like these.
I want to be able to submit my story but i still haven't finished figuring his story out. Although your video on miqo'te lore helped out a lot with him being a keeper of the moon clan

Today we all learned that Mr. Scribe is Team Jacob and not Team Edward.
I want to submit my character's tribe lore but not sure how I'd do it 🤔

I didn't get in :(

I loved this video, and I cannot wait to see more! But don't forget, my Dear Scribe, the story of YOUR character is one we want to hear as well!
This was awesome! I'd love to hear more!
that as a nice change of pace i like it and wouldnt mind more of it

I have 3 mains, each with a fun silly RP background. Ok will put in drop box, with a better write up than one short paragraph.
How do cross-over events tie into the lore? The Monster Hunter thing is plausible, allowing my lalafell to grow up on a south seas island populated by Felynes.

Glad to see this idea take off! Looking forward to more. :) Also yes, werewolf > vampire 1000%
This was super cute, I'd love to see more of it in the future! Seeing other people's creations and their ideas is really cute
My dream job as a kid was vampire cowboy so this title got me good
this was really good!
Loved this so much!! How pleasant to listen to. Could totally see you doing more of this.
This was a very fun watch. Looking forward to the next one
