So the “nuzzling” is actually one rabbit asking another to groom them. Some fighting is normal... it’s rare that they will just bond. Usually it’s a process. I wouldn’t recommend leaving them together after one day... lastly WHEN you bond buns litter habits will get crazy due to territorial marking and establishing dominance. They get back to normal after a while Check out house rabbit society and bunny bunch 🙃😇
My childhood bunny was named twinkles because I loved the song twinkle twinkle Little star. He was a special bun! So nice to see how compassionate you are about your babies. Happy furmothers day 🐾🧡
You are such a wonderful bun bun parent! I love how you just strive to make ALL your animal's happy not just the doggos, that is so sweet and awesome and I bet they love you so much!
You're such a good animal mum. I would love a pet rabbit but sadly they are illegal in the state I live in in Australia. So annoying!! Naming pets can be so difficult. My first thought was Charlie (being that she's brown), then thought Cinnamon .. as in Cinnamon Bun lol. Olive is super cute too 💖
I wish I looked as pretty as you do without makeup on! 😭 You are lovely whether inside or out. You have a heart of gold and are giving a lot of lives a good home and happy lives!
I love seeing bunnies play and be together! My bun is Alice. She’s a mini lop and looks exactly like the second bunny you introduced him to. She was recently diagnosed with a genetic disease called megacolon (strangely the bunnies with the black and white broken markings are usually the ones who get it). Point being, we have to watch her input and output so closely now to make sure she doesn’t go into stasis that she can’t have a friend like we weren’t planning 😕 buns are the best tho and yours are adorable!
So happy for Brixton! The new bun is such a cutie! It's not an easy thing finding compatible bunnies. I got a buddy for my bun Sophie and they got along great when they were on their "date" at the shelter. However, after trying to bond them for a couple of months (and making 3 trips to the vet to get one or both of them sewn back together after their fights. Bunnies can be so vicious!), I'm resigned to the fact that they never will be able to be in the same pen or run around the house at the same time. I went through all the steps you went through too, the separate cages first, putting them in the car together, even putting them in a laundry basket together for a bit every day and nothing worked. I probably should have brought Emmett back to the shelter, but I had become too attached. They seem to enjoy hopping over to the other one's pen to "visit" when their on their separate outings. Anyway, it's so nice to see someone that has such a love for animals and that has been through a similar situation. I think Olive would be a great name!
I’m super happy you made this video. I have two buns- the first one, Indie and the second one that we rescued & hoped would be Indies new bun bud is Jack. I’ve had Jack for about 2 months now and they just won’t get along. Space is limited at my house so I have their large pen divided into two equal parts but it’s not nearly enough room for them to hop around and be content in. I’ve noticed a huge change in Indie since his space has been downsized... it’s rare that he does binkies anymore and it seems like he is always in his hideout. I wish that I would have known that if they didn’t get along at first, it would be super unlikely to change. I’ve grown very attached to Jack and he was a rescue from a pretty unideal situation so I have a lot of guilt even thinking about rehoming him or taking him to the humane society because of the progress he’s made with my us and trusting humans in general but at this point, i don’t know if it’s worth it to keep both in such small areas because they can’t be together without fighting. Their pens are each 2x4 feet and they do come out to hop around regularly but they aren’t as happy as they could be...:(
You and Ryan are so amazing! You’re making me want to adopt all of these animals I never would’ve thought to! You did encourage my fiancé and I to adopt a dog so we’ve been searching! 🦊❤️
I have two rescue bunbuns. I saved them both from houses who gave their easter bunnies away a few months after they grew tired of them. Luckily the second rescue was very docile and timid, so my little boy grew to love her. Although they did fight in binding. She was forcefully affectionate at first, which he hated, but after her spay she chilled out a lot. They've been bonded now for 5 years. They still tiff and chase at supper time, but they love eachother 99% of the time.
Can you do a video on what you feed your rabbits? What type of toys you have? And what type of bedding you use for their litter box? They are sooo cute. You’re amazing !
Thank you for sharing this experience! I was fortunate enough to find the perfect match for my bunny on the first try, but I remember all of the anxiety I had leading up to it. I also recommend searching for a second bunny by bringing your first bun to a meet and greet.
I rescued a rabbit when I was younger, from someone who was moving away, she had a rabbit and a guinnea pig together, so I took them both, and I was so surprised at how well they got along. I used to let them out to roam the garden, my rabbit was not a fan of people and wouldn’t even let me pick him up, but the guinnea pig loved hugs and used to nap on me while I sat out with them. I loved having my little fury friends outside. (It was insulated with a run attached, they couldn’t be inside due to already have 3 dogs, a cat and birds in the house)
My rabbit is a total house rabbit and is in love with my shih tzu. And my shih tzu loves her too! Basically my dog hates other dogs and my rabbit hates other rabbits BUT they have found mutual love in one another and it makes my heart soo melty and happy They often lay together either on the couch, under our bed, or grooming eachother on the area rug and are so lucky to have found one another 💕
I love the name Peaches 🍑 but Olive is sooo cute as well! I have a 3 year old rabbit (I got Cherry when she was a baby) rescued from a meat farm and 13 year old rabbit ( I got Marshy a year ago) that was a house pet living in the shittiest metal bottom cage. For the first month he couldn’t stop humping her but after being with her for a while, things calmed down and now he rarely does it! They now live happily in their 30 by 30 feet outdoor enclosure ❤️🌱🐇🐇 I love what you’re doing for all these precious animals 🙌🏻
I love all of your animal videos soooo much. My very first bunny I got when I was 12 and I won her at a carnival. Way back in the day our local pet store would have a booth every year at the carnival in our city. My first bunny’s name was Lilly and I named her after my favorite teacher at the time haha. Then I had two at once they were Thumper and Snoball. I miss having bunnies so much. I think Olive would be such a cute name!
Bonding rabbits can be so stressful. I successfully managed to bond 3 rabbits together (2 males and a female) and they lived together for a couple of months, until I had to get the female put to sleep. I then took on 2 rescue male continental rabbits and had the challenge of bonding the four of them. In typical fashion, my smallest rabbit, who likes to be dominant took an instant dislike to the biggest rabbit. Fights were had and fur was lost but I managed to get them to accept eachother, within the first week and the 4 of them became the best of friends! I personally feel that any rabbits can be bonded, even if they are considered a lost cause. It just takes time, patience and the right bunny to come along.
I have a big old Flemish Giant and he’s the best decision I ever made I plan to bond him soon once he gets his cage upgrade. He always got along with cats and absolutely had a blast with my fathers cat so I’m hoping he won’t have an issue with a female bunny. Bunnies are so much work but they’re incredible pets ♥️
I love the name Olive or as someone else mentioned, Belle. She's so cute, congrats on your new bun bun ❤ Whenever I watch your videos, I want to have ALL of the animals!
Aww yay!! Brixton is my favorite of your animals!! I want a bunny so badly but can't currently ☹ gotta be a responsible pet parent and wait until my shed is built for one.
I ended up with two simply because they where already attached and it showed❤️❤️ Ours boys are fabulous, Theo and Jake. They’re best friends😍😍 My boys are happy funny lil guys🐰🐰
My old roommate takes care of terminally ill rabbits that can’t be adopted out from their shelter. I love meeting them and seeing their different personalities. It’s amazing to see when they come home angry and scared but eventually she helps them open up and begin to flourish
Early squad !! Been waiting for him to find a buddy. Yeees🙌🙌 I’m so glad you bring awareness to us all And loving all the animals !! Love you and your kind heart ♥️
i have a similar story with my bunnies. my female bunny was about 1 and i got a 2 month old male (my female was fixed) and i introduced them when he was about 6 months old and they did not like each other. fighting and chasing happened. i did tons of research and did everything i saw online but it didn’t work out. i didn’t have the space to make his own area otherwise i would have had no problem keeping him and i would have used the basement but a friend was living down there, so i had to put him up for adoption. i’ve been debating on getting another bunny or not bc i would like for my girl to have a friend bc i’m gone for most of the day. she gets along with my dogs and cats so i feel like that helps her not get lonely but she’s almost 3 and this video has really helped me understand the things i did wrong. also when i move out of my moms she would be the only pet in the house. so that’s why i feel like she would get lonely bc she’s so used too all the animals.
I’m so happy Brixton has a companion 🤗🐰 she’s so cute and they look like they’re the same breed? I wonder if that helped with the bonding process? Ahhh Stud Muffin😍 he’s a lover,🤣 lol ! I had an ash grey lion head named Cinder years ago and I miss my sweet girl so much, I want to adopt another bunny so bad! Congrats on both new additions, fur babies bring so much happiness into the home!
I used to have a rabbit, I got him when I was going into fourth grade and had him till my junior year of high school. I just finished my freshman year of college. Yeah When he died I was so devastated and sad to see him go. He was an albino dwarf rabbit. His name was Bruno. He was the friendliest, most loving rabbit who just loved to be held and played with. Bruno was my everything. I miss him dearly so seeing your posts on Instagram and videos on UA-cam all about your rabbit makes me so happy and excited. The names I thought of for your new bunny are Luna and Rosie. Let me know what you think of the names I’ve thought of or even if you just wanna talk about rabbits cause I would love that ❤️❤️
I know how it feels to see your animal get lonely. I had 2 sister guniea pigs, and one passed about a year ago at age 6. Now the other one is about 7 (life span about 5). She doesn't squeak and run around quite like she used to. I make sure to give her lots of love myself.
I related so much to what you said about the fact that bunnies don’t always ( bond ) with other bunnies, and there’s nothing you can do about it. When my cousin and I were about 9/10 years old ( now 31 ) My aunt bought us both bunnies ( two girls ) sisters i believe. Sad to say we quickly found out ( even though they were babies ) they both absolutely grew to not like one another. Mine was the more dominant personality of the two. My cousin and I both said maybe they need their own pin. My aunt said that’s ridiculous! At the time she was not educated in the bonding situation. She thought one day they’re going to have to get along, saying it might take some time, it’s a new home, and kept them in the same pin. Huge pin, but that didn’t make a difference :/ Over the next few months the stress that my bunny was causing the other bunny had her hair falling out, and unfortunately lead to my cousin’s bunny passing away. One of the saddest things to witness, at such a young age. Then my aunt made me bring mine back to where we got them from, as she didn’t think it was fair for me to keep mine💔 I am so happy that you constantly push that people do their research. As you say all the time, it’s extremely important! ❤️❤️❤️ You are the best, absolutely love your channels, esp the animals❤️
I have a little female mini lop, we didn’t research about local rescues so now she is neutered, we are going to rescue you a little boy and the rescues will bond her with one of the boys for us. I’d do it myself but I worry i won’t do it right as they live outside (I’m in the uk and my mum REFUSES to let her live inside) so luckily the rescues will bond the two together💓💓
Hey Kristen, I just subscribed to your channel. I love your enthusiasm and need to save animals. You are an awesome person! I was wondering, as far as cleaning bunny or really any animal enclosure blankets or soft items, do you use your washing machine, do you have a separate machine, how do you go about that? Ive been told not to use your home machine but I always have. Just separate from everything else and with unscented dye free detergents? Your opinion please! Thank you!
I always thought that the bonding process had to include fighting it’s so good to know that you can find a bunny partner that they just get along right away.
We have two rabbits that we got together who were already bonded. We thought they were both females but we wnded up with babies. I have learned a lot because we had a couple pass away. We love our bunnies and now we have 5!
I had this happen, we saved our rabbits from being snake food. The man told us they were both females. Luckily we realized we had a male and female and got him fixed.
I’ve just bonded my two boys who hated and I mean hated each other! They’d drawn blood, ripped fur out of each other and ripped one of my boys ears. Originally I had two trios, female and male but unfortunately both of the females of both groups passed away. It’s taken me a hole year from when the last female passed away for me to finally bond my boys. I brought them into the house on a sofa that was neutral ground with a divider between them. Monty my half lip half lion hair was trying to bite and attack Cosmo who’s a black otter lop. Cosmo wanted to be his friend but monty kept trying to bite him. On day 3 of being inside divided I came down stairs and found that monty had jumped the divide and they were grooming each other like lovestruck teens. After another day on the sofa I removed the divider to give more space which went well. Then after another day I moved them into the lesser dominant rabbits hutch after cleaning it out and spraying with calm spray. That went really well, no chasing or nipping. Then after a day in the cage together I tried letting them out into the garden which is the space I was most worried about because they both love the garden. They were completely fine and are even being more advantageous then before. I’m so happy that they’ve finally bonded. They are so much happier together! I definitely thing you can eventually bond rabbits that have fought each other but it’ll take a long time and patience and also to make sure they haven’t had any recent fights that can make them hold a grudge. Also highly important is that all rabbits are neutered, bonding any rabbits male or female that are intact is more stressful and more likely to end up in a fight. Ps bonding two buns can take from a day to anywhere up to a month if you doing slow bonding so don’t give up straight away. Good luck bony mums and dads.
My mom didn't know what she was doing with our rabbits. She had rescued this rabbit off the street and my mom put the rabbit in the cage along with the rabbit we already owned. Immediately they started to fight running around in circle pulling each others hair out. 5 months or so later. They are best friends. Not knowing this information before, probably would have introduced them the correct way. But they are kinda soulmates now.
Kristenleannimal i wish I had the guts to do my own videos just love watching other people’s plus not found a talent that I would share unless eating pizza and drinking wine was one!!! So happy that Brixton has hopefully founds himself the perfect girlfriend to keep him company!! 😁
They are too cute! I’m in love. ❤️ we have two female guinea pigs, separate cages/homes. One is Malone & the other is Otis, yes they are girls. Ha. We also have a cat named fox, a dog named chase & 4 kiddos. Ha. I have a busy house for sure but I love it. Much love! ✌️❤️🌈
Kristen I ABSOLUTELY LOVE when you post vlogs/videos on the pets!! I'ma go out on a limb here & say that these are my fav too watch!! Congrats on the new fur babies 💓💓 I like the name Piper or Penelope !! I would love to get a bunny again.. I had one when I was around 14, she was a huge white bunny name Penelope.
I have 2 female sisters of 3 months and they started pulling of each other’s hair and fighting. (I separated them). I tried bonding them but they were only 10 minutes cuddling and then they start fighting again. And know when ever they see each other they fight (They never hurt really bad each other or took blad but anyways I separated them) Does someone know if to spay them in this case might work?
With bonding I think the number one thing to do is introduce them where no bunny has ever been before. If your bunny is a house bunny that means it can't be in your house- which makes it difficult. Rabbits are very territorial, if a rabbit has his own space he's hardwired to defend it.
I loved this so much your truly an amazing person! I'm so happy you got her she's such a pretty girl perfect for Brixton! 😊💕 Olive is pretty I like that! I was thinking Chloe.
My first rabbit Hope hated the rabbit we got for her to bond with, but that bunny Luna wanted to be with Hope so bad. We kept them next to each other in separate cage areas and they could see each other if they wanted or they could go to the opposite side of the areas and be away from each other when they wanted. That worked best
I have three rabbits; mother, daughter, son who are now all adults. A few months ago the mother went to the vet and when she returned she unbonded from her daughter. I've been trying everything, but they start fighting almost immediately when they are together. Thank you for your video. I am going try this when the fighting subsides.
My female actually taught my male how to potty. It was wonderful. I always wanted to name a female rabbit Alice... In wonderland... Yea not original but i like it. Or Bug as in Love Bug because she seemed to want to love on Brixton. Happy fur mother's day Kristen!
She's going in the litter box now! So I think she was just nervous from being brought home, or Brixton taught her! That's great that your female taught your male, cause there is so much rabbit poop and pee!! Lol That's a cute name for a bunny!
My bun is a 3 month old male dwarf rabbit, since he’s not old enough to get neutered, would I have to wait til he is 6 months old to bond him with another bunny? Or can I just bond him with a bunny his age and neuter/spay them when they’re older? Someone pls answer I wanna get my bun a friend 🥺
I've ALWAYS wanted a rabbit but my dad wouldn't let me and now being an adult.... I'm trying to convince my boyfriend haha but I definitely want to wait until I can get 2 initially
I think that's a great call. I would say don't do the bonding process unless you're experienced with rabbits and can handle the situation in the best way. Rabbits are great additions to the family, however, they ARE a lot of work, and need space. Which I'm sure you already know. I'm excited for the possibility for you though!
I really hope that you guys get something out of the video, a laugh, a smile, or some valuable info on my experience with bonding rabbits. 💜
Kristenleannimal will you make a new video about your new hamsters!???
I bonded my three bunnies in November i was so nervous! Worked out thankfully x
Could name her Marley 💜💜
I'm so happy for Bun Bun he finally got a companion 🐰🐇. #Foxfam

I love her!!! She looks like a wild bunny!!!
I was wondering what size travel carrier you have for your beautiful bunnies because I have 2 bunnies and I'm not sure what size carrier to get them?
Awe I love you Kristen you're so awesome and honest

Bruno was my everything. I miss him dearly so seeing your posts on Instagram and videos on UA-cam all about your rabbit makes me so happy and excited. The names I thought of for your new bunny are Luna and Rosie. Let me know what you think of the names I’ve thought of or even if you just wanna talk about rabbits cause I would love that ❤️❤️
They’re Adorable 😍😍
Awe so cute! Thanks for sharing this! 🐰❤️
You are the best, absolutely love your channels, esp the animals❤️
I have a little female mini lop, we didn’t research about local rescues so now she is neutered, we are going to rescue you a little boy and the rescues will bond her with one of the boys for us. I’d do it myself but I worry i won’t do it right as they live outside (I’m in the uk and my mum REFUSES to let her live inside) so luckily the rescues will bond the two together💓💓
Omg I’ve never seen that’s before! So cute
Thank you!
Cherry would be a really cute name!
I don’t have any rabbits anymore but I still love these videos
I love rabbits. Best pets ever, sassy like cats but trainable and smart like dogs. But lots of work. I miss having one 😂 lol.
I have 2 bunnies that were already bonded when i got.them, but I want 2 more, this video was really helpful Thnx!
So glad hes got a budy
Your vlogs are my favorite!!!
Yeeeeeehhhhhhhhh!!!! Perfect Saturday night 🐰🐰🐰
I just saw you on AF's IG comments! Hi!! YOu're uploading a video right now too huh? :P
Much love! ✌️❤️🌈
I love the name Brixton!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Where do you adopted reptiles from in the San Diego Area (im actually pretty close to where you are)
Kristen I ABSOLUTELY LOVE when you post vlogs/videos on the pets!! I'ma go out on a limb here & say that these are my fav too watch!! Congrats on the new fur babies 💓💓 I like the name Piper or Penelope !! I would love to get a bunny again.. I had one when I was around 14, she was a huge white bunny name Penelope.
Seen other comments saying Bonnie for the new bun, that'd be my pick too
Always wanted to name a bun Remi (or Revy) also forever in love with the names Rue, Coska and Violet
So much bunny love ❤🐰🐇
these are some of my favorites
This is such a good video
She looks like mine but in a bigger version! So for me it's a big Peanut! (A name that's also fitting with cuteness)
Rabbits are very territorial, if a rabbit has his own space he's hardwired to defend it.
i would love to see a video regarding bunny litter training
She looks like at Bonnie to me ❤ they are so cute both of them 😍
Olive!!! Is she neutered? Or him??
LMAO Studmuffin! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
this makes me want to bond my bun 🖤🐾
I loved this so much your truly an amazing person! I'm so happy you got her she's such a pretty girl perfect for Brixton! 😊💕 Olive is pretty I like that! I was thinking Chloe.
My first rabbit Hope hated the rabbit we got for her to bond with, but that bunny Luna wanted to be with Hope so bad. We kept them next to each other in separate cage areas and they could see each other if they wanted or they could go to the opposite side of the areas and be away from each other when they wanted. That worked best
Were they spayed and neutered?
Love these videos !💛
I plan on getting a Flemish giant!! But I’m waiting til I move to a bigger space so I can actually provide the space he/she needs
I have three rabbits; mother, daughter, son who are now all adults. A few months ago the mother went to the vet and when she returned she unbonded from her daughter. I've been trying everything, but they start fighting almost immediately when they are together. Thank you for your video. I am going try this when the fighting subsides.
I'm excited for the hair tutorial. Tried it today because I saw your Instagram picture. Yah... Nope. Didn't go well 😂😂
Oh! I need to edit that!! Thank you for reminding me!
When we adopted my kitty her name was ida. My daughter changed it... But your new bun could be a pretty cute Bambi or bitsy
The last bunny was absolutely perfect for him… definitely the last one. Those were great signs that their best friends.
Yay! They are so smart! I am so happy for brixton. And you guys! Congrats!
Olive, Beya, Freya, Moon, Luna, Elle
I've ALWAYS wanted a rabbit but my dad wouldn't let me and now being an adult.... I'm trying to convince my boyfriend haha but I definitely want to wait until I can get 2 initially
I think that's a great call. I would say don't do the bonding process unless you're experienced with rabbits and can handle the situation in the best way. Rabbits are great additions to the family, however, they ARE a lot of work, and need space. Which I'm sure you already know. I'm excited for the possibility for you though!
Kristenleannimal yeah for sure but your videos help a lot too! So thank you and I love you and all your outlets media socialness!! 😁👍
