VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Hello there! Today, you're in for a treat as Kim invites you into her beloved home, "Journey's End." Having embraced this tiny home lifestyle for over five years, she's ready to give you a tour and share insights into living minimally and sustainably. Let's explore this charming space together!
🥦 Step Into Kim's Vegan-Friendly Kitchen
As you enter Kim's kitchen, you'll notice it's perfectly tailored for her vegan lifestyle. She's made a conscious choice to forego a microwave, opting instead for three indispensable appliances. A compact two-burner hot plate and a multi-functional toaster oven are the heart of her cooking space. The kitchen island is not just about storage; it's a statement of efficiency and style, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills.
🌱 Embrace a Zero-Waste Life
Kim's commitment to a zero-waste lifestyle is truly inspiring. She uses a Berkey filter, which is both eco-friendly and long-lasting, eliminating the need for frequent replacements. Reusable cloth napkins replace disposable ones, further reducing waste. Plus, her commitment to composting is a testament to her dedication to sustainability.
🏠 From Childhood Dreams to Reality
Kim's journey to tiny home living began in her childhood. Growing up in New Jersey and Colorado, she always had an affinity for compact, cozy spaces. Her path wasn't straightforward, but every step seemed to lead her to "Journey's End" - a realization of her long-held dream.
🛁 Discover a Spacious Tiny Bathroom
The bathroom in "Journey's End" may surprise you with its size and functionality. It has plenty of storage and a large, easily accessible shower. Kim chose a shower over a bathtub to maximize pantry space - a decision that aligns perfectly with her practical approach to tiny living.
🛏️ A Bedroom that Radiates Comfort and Style
Kim's bedroom is her sanctuary. High ceilings add a sense of openness, and the generous storage ensures a clutter-free environment. The thoughtfully designed bed comes with ample drawer space. And the best part? Extra room is available for her pet sitter, making it a truly guest-friendly space.
📚 Transitioning to Minimalism
Kim's minimalist journey is a lesson in simplicity. She suggests living in one room of your current home to simulate tiny house living. It's all about mindset - embracing less to live more.
🪑 Reinventing the Living Space
The living area transformation, from an uncomfortable couch to a relaxing recliner, epitomizes Kim's adaptability. This space doubles as her workstation, offering stunning outdoor views. The loft overhead, mainly a paradise for her cat, adds another layer to her living experience.
🔥 Staying Cozy and Warm
Insulation is the only aspect where "Journey's End" could improve. To combat chilly days, Kim relies on a gas heater that quickly warms up the space, adding a cozy touch with its flame-like appearance.
🌿 The Porch: A Serene Outdoor Retreat
The porch is more than an extension of the house; it's a sanctuary. It's where Kim exercises, relaxes, and watches her cat enjoy its freedom. This space beautifully blends indoor comfort with the tranquility of nature.
✈️ Tailored for a Traveler's Lifestyle
As the owner of a vegan international tour company, Kim's frequent travels make "Journey's End" the perfect home base. It's a stress-free, comfortable haven that complements her dynamic lifestyle.
Thank you for joining this tour of "Journey's End." If vegan travel piques your interest, don't forget to check out Veg Jaunts and Journeys for amazing vegan-friendly destinations across the globe.

I could live in this house and be very happy. So often there's always something about a tiny house I don't like, but not this one - it's just right. I would have to have that screened in porch - it's gorgeous.
I would like to know more about this.
This one I like. Just too much wood. Love the bed down stairs. I would never use a loft.
I really love this! Some of these tiny houses bedrooms are in the loft, which I don't like, but this one is perfect!
Because of some recent health issues, my son wants me to sell my home and move into the lot they own behind their house - - I have looked and looked and man would this be perfect. (with the porch). I know my cats and 2 little dogs would love that porch. I used to camp for years even after losing my husband - and this would be the perfect size - though like you said - I would have to get rid of 3/4 of the stuff I own. (23 years in military one can collect a ton of stuff). Thank you for allowing me to see your wonderful abode.
What a gorgeous tiny home looks like a cabin inside , love the use of the light timber so well designed , Nice closed in deck and beautiful views' and what a wonderful tiny home builder. I could live here and be so happy .
You lucked out with your builder! That is a Great build for 70,000. Thank you for sharing!
The screened in porch is my favorite feature. I like the changes you made in the kitchen. Most people don’t really need the full sized appliances that are standard in the park models. I haven’t used the full size oven/cooktop in the homes I’ve lived in for 15 years. (I do store my pots and pans in the oven though). I have a small convection oven/air fryer combo, a small pressure cooker and a one burner induction cooktop that I use. I don’t like to hand wash dishes so I love my compact dishwasher. I live in a small condo so living in a small space is easy for me. However, I would like to move to a space that I can remodel with a more practical kitchen that suites my lifestyle. I lost my home including all my furniture to a fire a few years ago. A friend was retiring from his psychiatric practice and gave me some of the furniture from his office. Part of me thinks I need a small sofa but in reality the modern styled leather recliners have been perfect. Not having a sofa has allowed me to use the space for my books and plants (both house plants and the indoor hydroponic systems that replace the garden/yard that I lost). I think it is important to identify those elements that are really important to you personally and eliminate those that are not.
These Park Model Homes are so spacious. She got it for a really good price as well.
This home is lovely. If you are 1 or 2 people, living Tiny is a no brainer.
You're right it is a lovely home for one two people tops but my problem with tiny homes is when you have family there's no way for them to visit someone like me with grandchildren this just couldn't work but it is a beautiful home
This is the best tiny house I’ve ever seen! It’s perfect. I would love this!!!❤❤❤
It’s a beautiful BIG tiny home! Love all the wood! And the spacious downstairs bedroom! I didn’t catch where she is currently living. I’m a single woman who is vegan too, and vigorously try to reduce the waste I discard, so we are similar!! Thanks for sharing!
This is in Mills River, NC
This house doesn't feel that small. I like it.
Love her home especially the porch! It’s pretty perfect.
The porch is gorgeous! Such a great space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Such a lovely home and a very chilled person.
What a beautiful home! The deck is a great idea.
First tiny house that I really love I love my patio with my plants
What a lovely home and what a thoughtful and rad human!!!!
So glad you enjoyed it, and big thanks to Kim for sharing her beautiful home and story with us!
Lovely tiny home you have! Especially hugh ceilings made of wood detail are so beautiful too!
So glad you enjoyed it! The high ceilings create an amazing spaciousness in Kim's home. 🤩
That's my dream! can't walk anymore so I like the idea of having everything on one level! Absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤
I just loooooove your house Kim. I'm jealous. 😢 It's so beautiful.
Thank you!
I love the additional
Porch area. It looks so big for a Tiny House. ❤❤❤
Beautiful tiny home.
One of the better and more practical homes on this channel. HOWEVER, I'd have a nice big outdoor kitchen area, including a BBQ grill and pizza oven...
The stair drawers wow
I love this one… love the same floor bedroom n the porch of course😊
The tiny house is gorgeous I could live in a tiny home. Love your porch.
Kim is living the dream! This home is so beautiful, she should be very proud :) Whenever I get financially established, I’d love to build something like this on my family’s property in WV.
Sounds like a great plan! 😊
great layout. can't believe how much storage. you have a beautiful setting. how wonderful.
Your house is lovely. The best part is the full sized bedroom downstairs. And i like that you do not need to use the loft. The lofts in tiny homes are not really conducive to a safe comfortable home for seniors. I downsized from a 2000+sq ft home with a pool, fire pit and outdoor kitchen in Southern Baja to 1,100 sq feet in Florida. I have the same mantra”..if something new (well except fabric) comes in the house, something has to go out…”
Love your home, so peaceful
This is one of the nicest tiny homes I've ever seen. Enjoy!
I have viewed hundreds of tiny houses and this is in my top 5. I love this house!!!!
This is a beautiful Tiny house. We love all the storage that you have. Also, we like the size of the bathroom and all the kitchen space. Your bedroom is quite adequate in size and storage a s well. The Porch is very nice and comfortable. The cost seems affordable, which we like. We are hoping to move into a tiny home in the near future. Thank you for providing us with a tour of your home.
I love this design ❤️❤️❤️ comfort for me😊
I am totally inspired by the beauty of your sweet vegan stress free life; with exquisite serene views from your amazing porch.
I am so excited about using the great ideas from tiny life pioneers like you. Thank you for sharing.
Aw!! Thanks so much!
Perfect size, even for more than one. It's gorgeous.
This is a great set up! Congrats! I just saw another tiny house wood inside! Was really horrible terrible loft space and the lady was selling it for 100.000 dollars! This at 70.000 is excellent and in another level ! Great video!!!!
Beautiful house. It’s so cozy and lovely!
No matter the size , this is lovely
❤@This. Tiny homes and schoolie bus 🚌 🚐 life as well ✌🏻✌🏾!!!
Her house is very small, beautiful, cozy and has a very unique and beautiful style.
Your house is absolutely gorgeous! I live on Long Island NY . They don’t allow tiny homes to be built here for some reason. But some day I would love to own a tiny home. ❤🏡
I want to know more about traveling for a living!
She is a tour guide! Veg Jaunts and Journeys is her business. Her tours are fabulous ✨
@@AngelaArnold_ That’s so awesome. I bet she absolutely loves her job, and not too many people can say that.
Very nice and Cozy, it’s perfect 👍
Not small. You have everything you need.
Beautiful home, I love all the wood work in it :)
Looks roomy and comfortable. I love it!
This is a great park home, great choice.
A very nice home.
I'd have a curtain over the laundry. So much easier than accordion doors, especially if using as a hamper. So many great features and doesn't feel tiny!
Interesting you should say that because that’s what I did in a condo I used to own. In this house the door was already there and so far it’s been fine.
maybe the wood according doors keeps the cats out of the laundry area, just a guess.
I defiantly could live in a home like this
I could live here!
This home is perfect! And a screened porch - awesome! So roomy and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your home. I love your place!
Beautiful, thanks for sharing!! It was my dream but unfortunately, it's too late, great for you!!!
Beautiful home
Love your house and the downstairs bedroom, and the porch! Looked at your travel site. Would love to take a trip one day. Maybe start with Asheville. Regards from Indiana.
I dint care about having a microwave either. And can go without a drive too. And I sure don’t need a dishwasher lol
A house even tiny as it is there is no place like home full of serenity, love and peace for it is full of God’s Blessings and Grace.I will be forever grateful to have one of these beautiful tiny homes to live in my golden years! Please help me be a resident in one of these wonderful and blessed homes! Thanks
😊🎉❤I love this design, really beautiful ❤, thank you for sharing 😊.
I love the size of your tiny house perfect even the deck for me to sit out and drink coffee cozy is all I want not a fan of the wood I always watching tiny house this is perfect
I would have keep the stove, but somewhat I understand her specially if she is alone and don't cook too much, looks cute and cozy!
This is beautiful !
Beautiful & well appointed.
GORGEOUS!
This is really awesome. Thank you for sharing.🍂🧡
Loved her home and enjoyed her tips.
Your home is lovely.🥰
I’d be perfectly happy never having a microwave again. Love the cabin.
What a beautiful tiny home!!! The screened in porch makes the space look so much bigger! Nice build!!!
It’s always the outside space for me. Love your porch. I’ve lived, by choice, in a Subaru Crosstrek for last 5 years. It has an attached awning & an awning room. Outside is my heaven. Not ready to settle anywhere. Also VEGAN❤
Ohh I’d love to see it and hear more my daughter has a Sport Trek as well, I love it.
Beautiful, surprised to see you use a dishwasher. Just you and such a waste of water and space. Love it ❤
When it comes to tiny living, it's all about your priorities! For some having the convenience of a dishwasher is worth the space, and can even save water. 😊
One of those little drawer dishwashers is perfect for one person, and uses less than 2 gallons.
Lovely home. Thank you for sharing ✨️
Love your house and your location!
I would love this home.
Your home is lovely.
I love the interior light!
You could get blown in insulation, very easy.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Your house is beautiful.!
I love this home
Absolutely gorgeous!!
Your house is gorgeous. You must be so proud. 😊😊😊
Love this home!!
Love this house, I definitely could live in it with that porch. The steps are definitely not for me either, I just would put in bigger fire place, but love it!
❤LOVE THIS & would be perfect for retirement. Would like to see loft..
Love your home 🏠
Very nice home. Wish it was mine!
I loooove your home!
Love it, peace blessings and love
Generous sized bedroom and overall beautiful design! Cozy but not cramped! Well worth the money in today's economy!
I love it is beautiful
Beautiful home you have ❤
So cozy ❤❤❤❤loved the episode
Glad you enjoyed the tour! Huge thanks to Kim for sharing her beautiful home with us. 💖
Where's the loft? Same size as my 1bdrm unit. Nice covered porch. I could go for a vegan lasagne right now w/out peanuts or cashews.
Around the 8.35 mark. 🙂
Perfect!❤
My dream tiny house has an enclosed porch just like this one.
Totally understandable, the outdoor space makes such a big difference! :)
This is so pretty!
Love this ❤
Useful tour in planning for 2nd home. I would include a loft for family or friends to stay I over.
My house has a sizable loft.
Love your house ❤❤
I like it.
Surprising how much a ceiling fan pushes the warm air downwards. You might consider it.
I love thia but I would not be into all the knotty pine look. However, I love the changes she made in the kitchen and her talking about her lifestyle and not missing the microwave. Like her I would opt for the pantry and NOT a bathtub. Who even needs a bathtub?
Well, a bath tub is great for soaking. That would be a hard call, as a foodie and all.
Your house is beautiful!! May I ask who the builder is and what state are you in in?
The builder is Green River Log Cabins. The home is in North Carolina.
